Cleaning the edges of Bonnet Stripes?
Cleaning the edges of Bonnet Stripes?
I've noticed that I have just a very thin strip of dirt on the edges of my bonnet stripes, like stick under them. I took a Q-tip to them and that helped a lot but there is still some stuff visible. Any suggestions? How do you all clean those edges?
detailer trick that I read about not long ago in Classic Motorsports mag'
go to the grocery and look for bamboo kabob skewers. Basically 8 inch long bamboo sticks, very thin with a pointed end ... a big bamboo toothpick.
Much stronger then a standard toothpick but still very soft as compared to paint. Excellent for digging wax/polish residue out of fine crevasse and along tape seams.....
I had some in the kitchen and gave it a try and asked why didn't I think of this b4?

I carefully use the edge of a detailing tooth brush. I've had to clean the edges of clear bra and vinyl graphics off a Cayman S that I'm working on right now.
