Modded PC (The OctaneGuy Polisher Mods)

Ok so you purchased a random orbital polisher. Did you know that the only PC mod kits to make polishing easier and more effective were invented by yours truly?

Yep, 3 simple mods combined into a single kit known as the OneGrip Combo.
http://www.showcarsupplies.com/shopexd.asp?id=155&bc=no

This consists of the adjustable Neoprene strap that makes polishing so easy. Essentially it makes the polisher an extension of your arm, relieving your fingers and wrists from undue stress. Not sure what that means? With the OneGrip you can relax your fingers and forget about holding the polisher and instead focus on smooth arm movements for optimal polishing.

Notice I'm polishing this door with one hand and using my free hand to stabilize the door. Normally this would be risky without the OneGrip!

The OneGrip, like any tool, doesn't have to be used all the time. There might be times where you'd rather not use it, so it just fits here out of the way. It's designed to not block the air vents yet provide additional protection for your paint.

Even with the OneGrip, I like to stabilize the PC with my free hand for extra precision.

Part II of the mod can be seen around the "bell" or counterweight housing portion.

Part III is what I call "Housing Bolts" that fit in place of the handle and give you finger/thumb grips for enhanced polishing. It also provides more control and less vibration of the polisher.

The 3 parts normally cost $29.95 but I've got a special deal.

Purchase the $19.95 OneGrip
http://www.showcarsupplies.com/shopexd.asp?id=154&bc=no

and put in the comments OneGrip Special and I'll give you the 3 piece OneGrip combo for the price of just the OneGrip alone.

These are lightweight so choose USPS First Class shipping for the most economical shipping method.

What's the catch? How can you get the $29.95 combo for $19.95??

The PC Guards have some cosmetic defects. They work perfectly, but have some blemishes. They aren't up to my standards and I feel bad about selling them.

So one more time...order this

Put "OneGrip Special" in the comments, and you'll get the 3 piece combo for $10 off!

I used your OneGrip briefly at the Dragon last year, but I tend to switch hands often when I use the PC, which I also do with pretty much any tool I'm using, just one of the benefits of being a left-hander in a right-hander world

But I may have to give it a try again, because that is a really good price for the whole kit

Was I the only one who read the thread title and expected to see pics of Richard's PC Buffer with new racing stripes and chrome pipes ?

That's a great deal, Richard. I've been meaning to get the PC Guard, so this is a good opportunity to go ahead and get it and a couple other items, too. Sweet.

You know, I change my hands a lot too..and the OneGrip doesn't prevent that. I've got probably 5 or 6 favorite hand positions, and the OneGrip helps on all of them..hmmm just realized OneGrip is OG or that's my name too, lol.

Anyways...the OG allows me to polish with my weaker hand...my left hand when it's more convenient.

The housing bolts make a huge difference in vibration, I have to say. I have a hard time polishing as of late due to bone chips in both elbows and I can't polish for more than an hour or so at a time...but without the bolts in, I was out after like 15 minutes.

That's a very good point ML! But bone chips?? Yowww...sorry to hear that!!
Sounds like you should be recuperating, not polishing!!

Nah...they aren't going anywhere, at least not for now! Some day I'll get them removed, when I have recuperating time!

I love the OGOG (Octane Guy's One Grip). Really helps on horizontal surfaces. On vertical panels though I find I end up cocking my wrist with the OGOG and end up getting cramps. If I had a lift in my garage it would be much easier (Father's Day is coming up so maybe - not). Any way I recommend the OGOG - BTW I put a small rag under it so it doesn't get so hot & sweaty.

I think an updated video is necessary...add to my list of projects..wait I know you want PW first, lol. I know several people have said this...and really using the OGOG shouldn't affect how you use the polisher. Just move your hands until they are comfortable and the OGOG will keep it there. It makes sense once you try it a few times.

Thanks for the review.
