Black stuff on rear

Hi everyone! I recently washed my car, and looked very carefully at the paint. There seems to be these black specs embedded in my paint that I cannot seem to get rid of. It didn't seem to be there last time I washed, but it may have and I just didn't notice. I have Chili Red paint also if that matters. When I touch the paint, it seems to be rough in texture, almost like sand. It kinda reminds me of carbon deposits that I see on my exhaust. Has anyone else run into this problem? and if so, how did you get rid of it? I'm thinking clay barring will help. Any help is appreciated!

Most likely brake dust. You can remove it using clay and then follow up with a good wax.

might be carbon deposit from your exhaust

I have the same problem!

I wonder if it's unburnt fuel since our cars don't have the best aerodynamics & the ECU is programmed to simulate the annoying exhaust burble that carburetors make when decelerating???
