is that the painted surface? scratchx and some wax.

is that the textured surface? push it down with your nails or
rounded hard plastic. then Prima Nero... but it may not come out.

It's the plain-o, plain-o back (vinyl I think??) dashboard that came standard black in my 2007 Mini Cooper Base. It's got kindof a "bubbly" testure to the surface.
The scratch appears to be pretty light (not deep). Can I get this "Prima Nero" at any auto detail place?
Thanks so much for your reply...hope it works..what a dumb move on my part.

I don't know of any product that can repair a scratch in plastic. The best you can do I believe is mask it. Using Prima Nero or 303 Aerospace Protectant will mask the scratch for a while. Prima products can be found at:
www.detailersparadise.com
And it might be worth talking with Nick or Heather at DP to see if they have any tricks.

Get a black "China" grease pencil. Carefully, grab the pencil and "color" the scratch. Then rub the color in with your finger along the scratch section until you get a good result. This is a fix that was suggested to me by a MINI Oxford factory worker many years ago.

The China black marker pencil can be bought at an arts supply store for around $2 bucks.

Fantastic results and the repair is permanent. Works a treat on the MINI's interior hard textured plastic trim.
