Poor Repaint!
Poor Repaint!
My mini got in a fender bender and ended up getting a new hood, got to keep old one
, anyways I picked up the car from the business who did my repairs. Next day my friend pointed out that the hood scoop, also replaced had paint damage. looked like tiny little bubbles under the paint. Also upon inspecting the hood ive found that in many places there are small bumps in the paint
, looks like they sprayed over a grain of sand. They owe me a driving light bulb so when I go to pick it up I believe Im going to demand a repaint. How should I approach the situation?
P.s the repairs came out to 38xx so I feel the paint should look perfect. Its night right now ill get some pics tomorrow

i own a vehicle customizing shop, so I can say this from a shop owners perspective.
the shop you brought your car to sux!
they saw the flaws in the job and didn't fix it. now the question is, are they going to repair it properly, or just quick scuff and shoot again?
personally, I would call your insurance company and show them the quality of work that was done (or lack of in this case). The agreement with the ins and body shop requires the shop to rturn the part to like new condition. which they did not. the ins company will more then likely let you take it else where and pay for it. they will then go after the body shop for a refund.

If you used the Insurance Company's preferred shop, they will intercede on your behalf to get this problem taken care of.
If you picked a shop outside their program, the Insurance Company has NO leverage with them.
Now, regardless, the shop should own up to the problem and fix it. Their reputation is at stake. They should care.
