Bonnet stripes

I have white bonnet stripes with the black outline, dealer installed. has anyone experienced water spots on the stripes? I have not been successful in getting them out. My paint has no water spots at all.

I had the white stripes with black pins. Spotting can be an issue but you can clay and polish with the rest of the paint. Just be careful with the black pins since they are just printed on the stripe and will smear, fade and/or come off (no need to try this at home - I did and they did). So before polishing the white just tape off the black pins and be safe.

I've got Freckles

About every two weeks I have to us a polisher with paint cleaner, then polish, then wax to get rid of the brown freckles I get on my white stripes. I work in an industrial area where there is lots of metal fallout,so I should actually wash my car every day! And cover it at work! My freckles have turned to "acne", I can see where they have eroded into the stripes. The last time I was at the Dealer, the SA said "factory stripes aren't very good". However,my boot stripes from a vendor do the same thing! I've tried 3 different waxes, too, but nothing has stopped the freckles. My wife thinks the fallout embeds itself into the vinyl, then grows slowly across the surrounding area. Is this Science Fiction or Science?

Thanks for suggestions. I have not clayed my stripe in a while, but I have used various degrees of polishes with no avail. It was suggested on the SCMM board that the stripes may be under warranty if they were installed at the dealer.

Aesthetic has strips with a clear bra type of material on them. We are going to get some for the faded strips on the Cabrio.

I have the same issue. My stripes are black with the white outline. I clayed the hell out if them today and nothing. Will the vinegar or shower scrubbing trick damage the vinyl? Anyone....bueller...bueller?

Any luck on getting rid of them? I have a water stain myself and water/vinegar is not working to get rid of them! Should I try a clay bar?

how did you use the vinegar?

you have to douce a towel in vinegar and set it on the stain for
5-10min.

I used a 50/50 solution of water/vinegar and let it sit on the water stain. Should I try to leave a soaked towel on the stripe this time?

Did you just use vinegar or did you mix it with water?
