How to Dry a Monster Fluffy?

On the package of the Prima Monster Fluffy, I noticed that it says in big bold letters "AIR-DRY". Is this really necessary? Will Mr. T come and take away all my Prima stuff if I stick these in the dryer with the other microfibers?

I sure hope not, cuz that's what I do! Mine have been going into the dryer with the rest of the mob since day one, and they're doing great.

but i air dry all my MF stuff and pads.

hmmm you wash your pads too? I was rinsing them out with just water, then my boyfriend told me that I should just let it dry with the wax in there and then "squeeze and shake" the excess wax dust out after they are dried ... something about having to re-wet the pads with product next time, and wasting some of the product?

Dammit! I knew I wanted to throw them in the machine too!

i don't toss the pads in the washing machine (although a lot of people do)
i just use soap and warm water under the sink and wash by hand. i remove
as much product out of the pads and dedicate each pad for each product.

the MF towels and washmitt are washed in the machine. the wash mitt is
always rinsed under water to rid the dirt before tossing it into the machine
though.

I got one of those fantastic Wonder Washers (recommended by Octane Guy, I believe). I throw the pads in there with a little Dawn. Any really yucky MF towels go in there too before going in the big washing machine. And hey, it's really great for all kinds of other stuff. I don't hand-wash anything any more.

I put my Monster Fluffy in the dryer with but pull it out while it's still damp. Seems to work well enough.

you're okay.

I've got a related question: Can I use 303 Fabric Cleaner on Monster Fluffies (or other MF)?

One of my MFs permanently looks dirty after I used it a few too many times to dust my car off, after a few washes it never really came out.

And to answer the initial question: I air dry all my microfiber, wash mitts, etc. Not only does it reduce wear and extend their life, it's just as easy to hang them up to dry, plus saves all that energy. It's not like I have to wear them the next day or worry about wrinkles or anything.

i suggest DP's MF applicator utility towels for that. mine are slightly
stained too from Nero app (due to dirt on the panels, not the Nero
staining my towels). they work great. you will use much less product.

No, but Mr. T in my pocket will say he pities the fool who doesn't follow instructions on packaging.

I air dry the fluffies, other MFs go in the dryer by themselves.

Dude, lets not bring my wife into this

This is all a bit **** sounding to me. You just take the silly towels and through them in the dryer (OK, so the wife throws them in the dryer). They wear out, so you buy a new one ... Its not like they are made of gold?

Hmm ... it used to be detailing was fun. Now its turning into work with all these silly rules ... Next thing will be someone saying not to throw the PC pads into the washing machine

They are TOWELS!!!

Ok, so throw some Hydro in the dryer, maybe they will come out shining

lol posts like this only shows that you know nothing about caring
for MF towels/mitts. and i didn't state anything negative about your wife.

No, it's not about the dryer wearing them out due to the cycling.
heat damages the microfibers, that's why ive been stating if
you use a dryer, use low heat (No heat is best) and tumble it.

Another reason why i only air dry the towels is because dryers tend
to have lint from previous cycles remaining and my dryer has the lint
collector (filter) right at the hatch. MF towels will grab lint and not
let go. This is why you don't wash MF towels with cloth towels.

why bother using the right tools if you don't know how to use it
or care for them?

Why? Because they are disposable?

Since you are ordering you might as well get some more Hydro and Slick and Clarity.

You only make the mistake once

Put my MF towels in with other stuff, and boy was there lint everywhere when I started to dry my car the next time I used them.
