Back from MOTD with Prima products in hand...

I currently use Griots Garage products and their random orbital.

I want to start using Prima products.

Can someone provide a list of steps/products that I should use for a complete exterior detailing?

I've done some searches, but I'm not finding what I need and my time for searching through threads is limited for the next few days...

Thanks in advance!

PS: I do have Griots Paint Prep if removing old detailing product is necessary.

Uber- for starters, do wat i did and continue to use your Griot's polishes
and pads until you run out. PaintPrep is a good thing to have when you're
ready to remove carnauba for Epic (polymer).

for wax, Epic would be on order along with Hydro spray wax. You can
use your Griot's red pad for Epic. (use a fresh one, not one that you
previously used Griot's waxes).

Also try Nero for your interior plastic bits. it's a super product.

Clarity is also nice...performance wise very similar to Griot's WindowCleaner
but Clarity is easier to use in terms of the final wipe down. your glass MF
towel will not bunch up in a clump like when you use WindowCleaner.

Definitely toss your griot's glass MF towels and replace with DP's glass
towels that come with the Clarity bundle. Griot's glass MF towels are
great when brand new, but once you wash the towel is no longer lint-free.
Even when washed in the same cycle as the DP's glass MF towels the
DP towels continue to be lint-free where as Griot's is not.

I still prefer SpeedShine over Slick... but this is only a preference thing.
Slick has a shiny finish where as SpeedShine does not. Speedshine works
great over both polymer and carnauba waxed paint.

If shine and gloss is what you like, use Slick for your final wipe down. Use Hydro everytime you wash for maintenance. For tires, I like Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss Gel. For my trim, nothing beats Black Wow if I do say so myself.

Both!

I like the wet, shiny, glossy look. DH says if MINI offered a chrome-bodied MINI, I'd be the crazy one to buy it!

Your Black WOW is absolutely AWESOME!

You were kind enough to fix the "almost perfectly repaired" paint touchup on my bonnet plus the three little scratches on the passenger rear panel...and those repairs look FABULOUS! The water beads up very, very impressively in those areas, too!

You also applied the Black WOW and we've had rain nearly every day since getting back from MOTD and the black trim STILL looks FABULOUS!

(As soon as you can get info about my camera compatibility with Vacu-cam, I'll put in my order for Black WOW, too!)

Oh My, I didn't realize who you were till now! Did your daughter tell you after the Monte Carlo event about your Absorber towel?? I asked her to tell you that it was left on the table in our tent--but she kind of gave me this "oh brother look".

Thanks!!!

Yes, she told me, but when we got to the table, it was gone.

The "oh brother look" is OEM teenager.

Aww I'm sorry. I wasn't sure what was safer--leave it there in case you remembered, or keep it with me and potentially never see you.

re: Ken
Seems Ken is having one of his moments again...... got to be the Hydro! Threads can go off topic if the original thread starter is a part of it!

re: Oh Brother
Yeah, it was definitely pretty serious..Aaron of Outmotoring and I were chatting when she walked by and I mentioned it and we were like "ooooooh boy...serious attitude". Not looking forward to those years with my son, LOL.

I agree, this stuff is liquid gold for trim. Detailed yesterday, applied and was literally saying WOW on the before and after.
