Today was awesome!
Got to work around 9:30am, as requested. Expected a whole lot of hassle, been getting a whole lotta hassle, but within 5 minutes of driving on base, I was driving off base, done. Completely checked out. Like I had a Staples easy button or some s***.
Headed home, had some coffee and waited for my tires to come. I ordered them two days ago from the military (aafes online), and was surprised to track them this morning to find that they were arriving today. Headed to Andrews AFB and made an appointment... Did some light shopping, got Betty something nice (flying to California tomorrow, can't go empty handed, right?), and then headed to Annapolis since I needed some uniform items for Guam, and apparently Andrews doesn't have but a handful of Navy stuff. /shrug
So I hopped on Pennsylvania ave going SE, trying to think of the best way to get to Annapolis... The beltway was clogged, I saw that on my way in. 301 north would be alright, but 50E would probably be clogged. So I decided to keep on down MD4 (penn ave) until I got to 2. Well, I got to 408 first, and it said "east to annapolis" so I hopped onto that. What a good idea that was. Like 20 miles through backwoods maryland, sunroof wide open, windows down, radio off... Just me and the Batmini whipping through twisties with the sun on our faces, and no Sunday drivers to impede our fun.
I even passed by the Mini's by the Bay gas station we always stop at (and last year I almost got rammed by a loaded log truck) at 408 and 2. And then I stopped by the Amish Market and got some cumbcake, because I hate tate and won't be going to the breakfast tomorrow. But I got to do all of this weekend's event today! Teeehee! Except the lunch, but I'll see WS before I leave for Guam.
Took different backroads coming home, and though not quite as fun, it was still extremely pleasurable, and taking advantage of quite the lovely day we had.
Tires to be installed before going to dragon, good deals at the exchange, done with work, going to california, weather is peachy keen, and at the moment all is swell. Hopefully the weather's effects today were as contagious on everyone else as they were on me!

washed my car too, so it's all spiffy for the weekend's festivities. The interior is still grotty, but the outside is all tidy.
I'll do the rest next week.
It was great to see the sun again...it's been weeks and weeks
.
So will...you were in Annapolis eh? No call..no visit..no nutin'?
Yer a poop.

The day was so nice I procrastinated about washing Wino and went driving instead. Top down, sunglasses on, tunes cranking... It was heaven! My forehead even got a little sunburn! I was beginning to believe I'd never see this type of weather again. If it holds, we're going to have an incredible cruise on Sunday!

I'm glad you had a good day.. it's all the good kharma catching up to you. I wonder why I keep getting bad kharma - poor Mr. Cooper the Dog was feeling sort of loose..and let me say that he got out of his crate and.. well the rest is what I walked into (quite literally) when I got home.
I hope the little guy is feeling better tomorrow and it won't impede MINI activities for his human companion (me). Glad you all had nice days to buzz around in your MINIs! :-)
