Hey all,

Glad everyone seemed to have a good time!! I got home and promptly napped for two hours!

Thanks Mr. Krut for helping me out last minute with leading the second group! I promise next time to mention where I intended to start the run! (FYI - what I should have mentioned before I left is that the first right turn is from the parking lot next to McD's, as in cut through the mattress strip mall (skipping that first light all together), and turning directly on to Defense Hwy! Oops! )

And sorry about not actually naming the ice cream stop on the route sheet.... I could've sworn that I put it on there last night... ah well! Everyone made it there in the end!

I don't recognize some of the places in the pics though... did some of y'all go for a secondary drive after?

awesome run today! it was cool meetin some of the newbs today. i like paul, got home and took a two hour nap from being so tired. after that i actually got to wash the MINI! definately needed it. I will post my pics up soon after i get them all uploaded.

 

Great pictures so far! Can't wait to see more. Being Kruttie's Co-Pilot, it was impossible for me to take pictures of all the other cars! (Not to mention that we didn't have a MINI in our mirror...he was going to fast! Breakin in that new R56 alright)

Paul, at that one turn where you guys turned around to refind it, we went on a 2 mile long cut...That might be some of the pictures

81mph?!! That poor tiny engine musta been screaming! I'm surprised Sam could even find all the gears...that thing is a bear to drive...

Thanks Paul and the other organizers, this was our first run and definately not our last, had a great time. Perfect weather, great roads, great stops and great company-see everyone at the dragon next week!

On a side note - Ken and I hope those of you that won't be going to Dragon can make his run leaving Rockville on May 6th.

 

As this was my first run(finally have all weekends off!) I want to thank all
who put the work into the logistics of planning this run, it was simply great!
One of the highlights had to be the u-turn we all made thru that little country church parking lot Great time, great people and great cars.

Apparently, the minister was waving at us as we went by. I was busy "herding" since I was the tail, so I missed it. Perhaps we should do it every year?

wow! im so sad i missed the run- i had to take my mom to the airport (dulles) and i couldnt get back in time.... boo... im glad every one enjoyed the roads... those are pretty much daily drivers for mike and i ... i it makes it worth it to live so far from work... : )

Thanks to all who organized and participated, What Great route ! That was the most fun we've had with Wensleydale yet. My wife couldn't stop laughing at the looks we were getting. The one grumpy looking lady we passed (1st group) standing at the end of her driveway by her car smoking a ciggy was too much, I could just imagine her thoughts......"C'mon you idiots hurry up and go by so I can go get another pack of cigs" and the church was hilarious! Almost like a movie scene ! Mini mayhem !

We're heading to the BOG show Sunday (Wensley wants to show off) and looking into doing another run soon.
