I'm in! (be gentle)

This looks like a lot of fun! I'm a new member, and have never done a run before (this might even be my first post on this forum...), so if there's anything else I need to bring besides a radio and some cash, just let me know! And I'll be able to bring a 2nd radio with me as well in case anyone needs to borrow it.

And I guess route maps will be posted here when it's finalized? I probably won't get too lost (grew up in Annapolis), but I'm just curious. Thanks!

Just make sure you join DC Metro MINIs before you go. :-) http://www.dcmetrominis.org - that way it doesn't cost you anything to run with us.

Ugh

So, oops, never mind. I have a wedding next weekend, I thought it was Satruday, but it turns out it's Sunday afternoon in New Jersey, so I can't make it.

I'll be sure to check these forums for other events, though. Anyone else thinking about doing the VA beach record-breaking-attempt later this summer?

What's the end address/co-ordinates for this run?

(Just trying to figure out where I'll be at the end of the run and what I can do for the rest of the day.)

MiniNurse, did you ever get the old GPS routes from Mark?

I don't know what the address is for the end. I will dig through my other computer for the files for you.

Wensleydale, my wife and myself are in. This will be our first motor event since I gave up bracket racing in '92. Sounds like it will be a fun run and maybe if we don't say anything nasty.....the weather will work out too !

I sent in my membership dues today and will send a pm as well.

Cheers,

Mike

WOO HOOO!!! WE are in the reservation book at Smokey Joes!! Just got off the phone with the manager there and she is excited to see all the MINIs! I had it scheduled for 50 people, but now it will be something like 60!

I have a feeling we will have to split the run in a couple of groups since there are 39 cars as of tonight!

Hummmm maybe I will just go to work tired! I so want to go!!!

I definitely think two groups will work out better.. invariably one group gets lost... everyone ends up arriving at the same time.. oh wait isn't that what happened last year? :-)

Ok, I lied!

I gotta check out some things on the route before I finalize it and post it online. I'll be able to do this tomorrow, make needed corrections and additions, and I'll have it online tomorrow night!

(And if anyone wants to join me in a quick run-thru, PM me! I'll be running it likely about 3-ish tomorrow afternoon.)

Oh, and we will *definitely* need two groups, if not three... its hard enough keeping 15 cars in a group, much less whatever the total is now!

I agree plus consider that is Sunday and we will be passing thru several churches which means that traffic will be high and the speed low

If I don't have to tutor this afternoon, I'll go on the pre-run run. Are you leaving from the Annapolis MickyDs?
