Mr. Clean AutoDry Car Wash System

Anyone ever try this? I've had one for almost a year but I finally opened it the other day. It seemed pretty cool, though it was slightly bulk. It did actually seem to work as advertise and didn't see any water spots, except for the windows.

Another reason you should pass it off to me

You don't need it anymore anyways with all that Prima product you have

Use mine during the summer and like it alot. Only problem with it is the soap leaks out if not stored with fill spout up.

Yep - I have one and it works pretty good. I also discovered that you need to put on latex gloves first before putting on the cleaning mitt when trying to clean break dust from your rims.

Yuck... talk about nasty stuff on/under my fingernails!! Nearly impossible to get off.

It works alright, I still prefer the old powerwash, soap it up, rinse, and dry technique .

I have one and LOVE it. Although I spend a little more time doing a real wash on my MINI most of the time, it comes in handy when you want a quick job. I use it all the time on the Jetta.

Yeah, I've been using one. Sometimes I don't bother with the filtered water at the end. I might use a chamois or microfiber towel for drying. I just like the soap dispensing in the nozzle.

Have it, love it. If you don't do the filtered bit at the end there's not much point in using it. You could use any cheap soaping nozzle. The beauty of this is the wetting agent in the wash combined with the filtered final rinse gives a air dry with NO spots and NO hand drying needed.

I noticed

there is a professional model that has a x5 option for the water power. If I actually had a garage at my condo and didn't need to go to my friends to wash my car I'd probably get that one.

you'll still need to handwash your car every once in a while to get the really grimey stuff off, but its great for pollen season and "maintenance" washes.

I DO want it Katie. I have it in my RC MINI, and always forget to grab it with all my other stuff. Then when I take everything inside I walk by the MINI and go "AHHHH!!! I forgot it again!" But I have to strip off my waxes on my bonnet tomorrow, so after I strip it I'll have to rewash it, and I promise I'll use the Mr Clean

Oh, you hand wash with the Mr Clean... It's not a 'hands off' system. It's just that you don't hand dry. Yes, the orignal one some folks complained of not enough pressure in the unfiltered rinse / hose off setting. But for the tough stuff I just use a pressure washed. Not that MY MINI gets that dirty very often.

If anyone is looking for it, check out the Pro-System at your local Walmart. Not sure if its nation-wide, but its at clearance from ~$40 to $15. I picked one up last night.

Its the one with the gun, filter, soap, mitt (prolly useful for the wheels/rockers) and carrying case.

I went to two of them in my area searching for Mobil 1 0W40 for my other car. They were in Freehold, NJ and Princeton, NJ - both had a few of the Pro-Systems left for $15. They were on a clearance section a couple aisles away from the car cleaning section.

Yup, third click clockwise is the filtered rinse, unless they've changed.

You'll be able to tell though, the unfiltered rinse is like a garden hose, the filtered is a very small amount of water, fine mist and in a fan pattern. There's icons printed on the body of the unit as well.

I use it. Its a real convenience not having to dry the car by hand! I think the Mr Clean will be perfect for big SUV's but for a cooper it's not as necessary because now you have to remember to keep buying Mr. Clean auto soap and their filter. Just my 2cents.

Well, i used it today, it was drying nicely, but my OCD kicked in and I hit it with my waffle weave drying cloth anyway . I do like not having to carry the bucket around though.

Maybe I'm not doing it right. There's a noticeable improvement over plain water rinsing, but I still have to do quite a bit of hand drying to achieve NO spots. I do like the soap that goes with it. I've bought two big refills. I've only replaced the filter once and I'm just not impressed with the filtered water part. I really prefer a natural chamois for drying.
