Where are you located, that will help us better decide where to meet up

UPDATE: finding a location for you to meet us

Thanks to the folks who decided to join us. I will update the map in post one later when I get home.

Those of you that live in VA and want to meet there please suggest possible meeting spots along Rt. 66.

The drive down will take us Rt. 66 to 81 to 40west. So if we can plan to meet you at a rest stop, restaurant or gas station along the way that would be great.

The best spot appears to be the shopping center on Bulloch Rd. It is on the NW quadrant of the cloverleaf of the junction of I66 with Hwy 234 (Sudley Rd.).Click here to see the actual map

i picked up some radios at best buy. i can loan one of them out to whoever needs a radio. i will charge them up fully for you.

also, who is meeting at point #1 and who is meeting at point #2. i think point numer 2 would be more effective for use as we can go over and out rather than over and up and then down and out.lool

just incase anyone is interested, i picked up MS streets and trips 2007 w/ included gps reciever today from best buy. the price was marked as 130 on the box but when it rang up it was 89 dollars. thats a pretty good deal, and guarantee if you think you may get lost or have a directionally challenged co-pilot like mine lol

I'm no way near a vegetarian in my life so I'm no expert in the subject. Please check out their menu, i'm sure they can accomidate you.

Some confusion was apparent in early posts regarding the location of meeting point # 2, i.e. the Cracker Barrel in Manassas. It is approximately 45 more miles from there to the intersection of Routes 66 and 81.

I will be at the Cracker Barrel by 6:30 a.m.

last minute change of plans, we will be joining the miniCUP group out of philly for the drive. they are leaving later, that is my basis for decision.
