[Thu, May 3] Caravan to MOTD 5
i know we have dc people leaving at various times. And with all the various times people are leaving, i think we need to reiterate if and when there will be a convergence of all the groups?
i know mdsbrain had mentioned meeting up at a cracker barrel around the 81&66 junction. we could all converge there, but we would have to decide what time to meet there.
i know jeremy said he was out. so is there anyone left in baltimore goin down? or am i the only one? leaving from baltimore would be the route down 70 and then 340 to 81. baltimore people don't need to drive through DC or Northern VA.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Kurt. There will now be a few options for the DC Group and two different routes.
You can a) leave on Wednesday and take the specialized DC Route, or you can b) leave on Thursday and meet up with the Philadelphia group.
Im going to be scaling the points to make it as fair as possible for all groups.

So let me see if understand here...is the Helix group meeting up with the DC group that is leaving? Cause this caravan was for those not intended for folks to leave and get to MOTD quickly. So the Helix group is now joining us?
Also if the Helix group is joining up does that make the Helix group and it's fee null?
Additionally since this is not a DCMM Caravan I would like it if that more then 1-2 members of the group come to a decision on the route and events.

Give me 24 hours to sort out all this mess with the MINICup and finalize all the details and I will have answers to any and all questions.
But the confusion is just that if people wanted to participate in the Helix MINICup then they would of jumped in on that thread. There is no need to cross-post about the different caravans.

Definately sounds better than meeting at the Cracker Barrel at the end of I-66 at 5am for us. I am sure we can make it easily for dinner and there is virtually no traffic heading from Bethesda to I-66 in the morning, I drive it often. 5am is very easy for me.
What ever happened to the 5am Cracker Barrel crowd any way? I was going to meet but that would mean I would be leaving my home in Olney around 3:30! Definately get there before dinner using that departure but I would be beat!

This is Bruce in Chantilly, VA. Can I meet up with you along the way? Like at I-66 West and Rt 29 in Centerville? You should get there around 6 am.
Well i've sat and watched threads of some groups going down as early as April 30th and others going down with Helix. I'm not going with either of these groups and driving down on Thursday in time to make the Welcome Dinner.
So i'm asking who wants to join up and drive to MOTD on Thursday ?
