If it hadn't been for Jen, DCMM would have gone down the tubes last year, plain and simple. Jen is my hero..she brought this club back from near disintigration and held it together and worked her behind off to get it to the status it is in today.

As a new member (about 5 months), it's been pleasure and honor to be a member and be a part of the awesome DCMM.

Man!! I wish we could have made it but my school project had to take priority. I've got less than a month to get it wrapped up!! Anyways, I'm glad to see it was a productive meeting.

Congratulations to Krut (Kurt), MININurse (Stacey), Sagworks (Sherill), JustJay (Jaysen) You'll make a great board and I'm expecting great things for DCMM to come from your collective MINI-nut minds.

Also Congratulations to the Directors: Edge (Haemish), Sam (Sam), Kbgblu (Katie), Big_davoc (Dave) on your new positions!!!!

My congratulations to Krut on his ascendency to the job of Lord High Poobah, and to the new directors, Stacey, Jaysen and (returning) Katie. Sorry I couldn't join you on Saturday but I had an irreconcilable conflict.

I enjoyed my two terms on the Board, and I'm ecstatic to see some new, young blood step in to keep DCMM vital.

 

I've been meaning to talk with Kurt about how the website lists people... and this is why. There are 7 board members, not 4. What is a director exactly? Etc. etc.

 

Will there be a official announcement of who was elected to each position? I realize your titles on NAM have changed.

Also since some folks were already in the midst of a term on the board how long will they now serve?

 

I am not sure. Sam, Dave, and Kurt have 1 year left. Each term is 2 years.

 

Every Board position is for a two year term. Those elected on Saturday began a two year term on Saturday. Those continuing on the board (Sam, Kurt and Dave) have just completed one year of their two year terms and have one year to go. Which means we should elect three new Board positions in March of next year.

Minutes for the meeting will be posted on the DCMM website as soon as possible.

I just wanted to say it was nice to meet everyone at the MoS breakfast this past Saturday. Special thanks to all for being nice to my toddler while he was running back and forth between the fruit tray and the shiney new 2007 Mini and putting his little paw prints all over it.
