I don't remember those, but I remember the Bolink Eliminators.

1/10th is really fun tho, and quite cheap when you wreck them. Cheap tires, cheap parts, cheap motors. almost makes me wanna start to race them again. Oh yeah 1/10th has cooler bodies too

Soccer is my life. My kids play at pretty high levels and I play on 6v6 team. I play tennis once a week.

For me.....

Driving (especially my MINI), target practicing (shooting range), golf, cooking and racquetball (just start).

The thread back to live.

I heard someone mention about going to the range for target practice, anyone is still interested. I'm ok with either MD or VA location.

That would be cool.

Will weekday late afternoon work for you guys? Could someone come up with a date and time?

Is the Blueridge Arsenal Shooting range the one that you went before. It's near Chantilly and is a very good range, IMO.

Woo...hoo..., I can't wait.

I have only shot in this area once, and it was near Ft. Meade. I think it was On Target or something like that.

Maybe later you can make up for missing the shooting part.

On a trip to Vegas this summer I dropped by an indoor shooting range for the first time and shot some 9mm from a handgun and MP5 submachine gun (same ammo). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP5

Kinda loud but had ear protection. Noticed all the staff were wearing handguns (wonder why). Nobody else in the range. Never shot before but was easy enough to hit the target in small clusters. The MP5 is a nice piece, easy to shoot accurately in single fire mode and easy to work with in semi automatic. Tendency for the first shot to hit but next rounds fly up during recoil.

Had the chance also to try other submachine guns. Was told the AK47 was not so "accurate"- more spray fire. They had Thompson Submachine gun and Uzi. Didn't try all those but maybe next time at the end of the year.

I've done some archery in the past when my kids were more interested. Similar shooting (concentration) technique.

Long ago I did-
Lots of cycling
Lots of tennis
Lots of running- long distance (marathons) and some track
Some Triathlons- sprint distance and offroad
Some racewalking up to 20K or marathon
Some swimming (Waikiki Rough water swim)

But since then I have a back problem so I have to limit my activities
to NAM stuff
and

Besides driving my car, which is a hobby as well as transportation, I ride my motorcycles, play my African drums (jembes and dununs), and sing karaoke.

I wish they do have those MP5 or AK47 for rent here in my area.
May be they do, I don't know. I might have to check with them though.

I normally practice with my Kimber 45.

I did the r/c car thing back in 1999-2000, had many NRS4's, SNRS4's, Super ten's, and finally I got smart and went 1/8th scale Nitro on road. I had two Mugen MRX3's with a few motor choices, Nova R-1 Paris Modified, Picco Paris Mod and the Serpent EVO4. It was fun but very $$$$$$

I then went to R/C planes and that's what led me to my current career as a UAV Flight Operations Manager / Systems Engineer. Just got back Saturday evening from Utah flying some small electric types. You can see some of my work/hobbies on the DCMM Flickr account.

MINI's have become a nice relief from work since it used to be a hobby (I still love flying though)

My wife and I took Wensley out to some back roads around Cunningham Falls today and had a wonderful time ringing out some curvies

I'm not sure if it's still around, but there used to be a place called Select Fire that rented full-auto stuff. If I remember correctly, they were located somewhere around Odenton. A few years before he died, Bob Lopez, a DJ on 98 Rock and anti-gun person, did a piece for his show there. I remember him firing a Thompson. After that experience, his anti-gun stance definitely changed.

Have you ever tried any shotgun sports (skeet,trap,5stand)? The Loch Raven Skeet and Trap Club in Baltimore County is open to the public and very beginner friendly. In my opinion, clay is a lot more fun to shoot than paper.

Thanks for the info, I will check it out.

Btw, I've never tried skeet or trap but i did some duck hunting when I was young with my uncle, not anymore though. The technique should be the same, I think.

I take pictures, and I drive my car at track day events. Since wrecking the Evo in February, I'm having to think hard about the track day stuff. :(
