Driving Shoes

A dear friend of mine owns the Adidas store in College Park, Stripe 3 on Baltimore Ave, so I paid him a visit today on my way back from the AC install. I saw a cool pair of shoes. They are Adidas driving shoes with Goodyear soles. Unfortunately they did not have my size but they were super cute. Just thought I would share incase any of the girls out there are looking for a cute pair of driving shoes

What makes them driving shoes? Goodyear?
Driving shoes should have a thin sole.
Can you say, marketing?
I bet a pair of Keds would make for a good driving shoe.

Actually they are an adaptation of the road-rally boots Adidas provided to drivers back during the golden era of rally racing. The sole thickness is optimal for pedal feel and walking comfort; much like Piloti's.

So do you wear slouch socks with your Keds?

Even thought this thread was originally for Women's driving shoes, I thought I'd post a link to what I've got, Soldato RC-2 (white stripes)...HERE

I've got a pair of Adidas Tuscany's and they are excellent. the sole is thin up front and has enough substance in the back to make normal street use acceptable.

In hindsight I think I should have just titled this thread "Driving Shoes" so no worries. If someone in NAMville would be so kind to change the title of the thread I would appreciate it!

BTW, cool shoes!

I stand corrected.
Just when I see a tire tread on the sole and a Goodyear stamp on the side, it reeks of marketing over function.
If it said Toyo, I might be tempted.
