Tire pressure sensor

Did any of you know about this? We had a flat and it never had an audible sound.

Go through the process and you will see what I am talking about.

Never heard about that, all my MINI has is a recall on the rear suspension, that was issued just before my MINIs production date, do it appears that I should be ok, I hope.

I had not heard of this before. I remember something about the dealership changing the default chime for being low on gas, but not on this. Nice post !

Huh, I don't recall ever hearing the sound before... but that doesn't mean it doesn't make one! While I had the light go off about a half-dozen or so times before, I usually have the music too loud to hear anything else!

When you bought your car, did you ask the dealer if ALL outstanding TSBs had been addressed? If not, its usually a good thing to do or otherwise they might not bother.

Chows, we actually bought it used from Carmax. I will give one of the dealerships a call and see what is up. Thanks.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE FLAT TIRE MONITORING SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTLY PROGRAMMED. IN THE EVENT OF A FLAT TIRE, AN AUDIBLE SIGNAL WILL NOT SOUND TO ALERT THE DRIVER TO A FLAT TIRE.

Interesting as I never heard the sound on my '03 or in the '05 and both MINIs had flat tires.. The '05 had a big problem with the sensor (if you guys remember was when the A/C was leaking inside )

GyPs , however, beeps, in fact I got to hear the beep last week when the rear driver tire was low.
I though was a feature of the new '06.
