I need for my parents to meet you guys so that they get less protective over me with the group. RHinaHBMCSC suggested dinner in Columbia or something like that. Would anyone be up for this? If so, set a date and place (I'm not super familiar with the area so don't know where anything good to eat is.)

How about if the group got together and came to dinner dressed in all leather, put fake piercings all over and dyed their hair all colors of the rainbow. Would that be a good idea?

I am happy that your parents are protective. As they should be. And even after they meet MINI owners in MD, they should still be wary. It's not a bad thing. They want to see you happy, healthy and full of life. Even on this forum, people come and go. So don't be annoyed at them. They are just doing their job.

I saw those the last time that we were there and we managed to find out what they were from one of the waiters. The presentation of them looked really good too.

 

Krolyat, Those taste even better than they look. And the 3 sauces they serve with them... outstanding. You have to try them. I did once on a recommendation and now I order them every time I go there. Goooooooooood Stuff !

 

Pretty much EVERYTHING on the menu at Cheesecake Factory is fantastic. That's why there's always a very long wait, especially on weekends... and they don't take reservations!

Cheesecake Factory, Sept 29th, at 6:30ish? (I'd come down early to make sure we can get a table, without a 10hour wait, and then my parents would come down after they get off work.) Anyone up for it?

 

Be warned, they won't seat anyone until the entire party is there. You can put your name in and start the wait, but you might get caught out and lose your table if they're ready and everyone else isn't!

I'm in...or better yet, Dale and I are in. We haven't been to the CCF in Columbia yet and I bet it will be fun!

Maybe if we have a big enough group we can call ahead and give them a warning and they will work with us a little...ya never know.

This is a really cool idea, but I am also committed for the 29th - heading out of town on vacation!

 

If you all go on a Friday night, be prepared for a 60 - 90 minute wait. Especially since its next to the movies.

Also, it can be very loud and I dont know how much table "moving" they can do to accomodate a large crowd.

 

Last time I was there they managed to move most of a whole row in to one long table for a party and then once that party left another was waiting to come in...

 

Maybe I should put on some assless chaps and a bikini top.

 

Not to be a downer, but I know the owner and manager of Hunan Manor in Columbia and they would do just about anything for me. If you want to go there instead, I can have a nice table waiting.

 

I could go for some Hunan Manor food!! I like eating there.

Jeremy, this might be better = less of a hassel with seating and wait times, more parking, etc.
