Jeremy, should we move the time for more like 7:30 since there are some that say they will be late?

 

Good idea.. some of us won't be stuck in traffic.. plus I hate having dinner before 7:30 pm..

Called HM today, Eddie is on vacation this week. I set it up for 7-7:30 for 35 people. We are going to pick out a menu because there are so many of us now and will get back to you. Stacey said that some of us picked Lo Mein, so that will be on the menu. We will probably pick like 4 main dishes and some appetizers. I will give you an update and an address when we get back.

 

Jeremy recently said we have about 15 people (see post at bottom of previous page). You're saying 35, JustJAY.

I'd hate to have the HM looking for a big crowd and having a much smaller one there.

 

You an put me down for a probably. I'm not sure how this week is going to unfold itself yet.

 

Ok, I talked to my friend and he's good with it and Carrie said it's all good so you can put us down for 5, 3 adults and 2 kids.

Maybe I'm just too tired or stressed about my test tonight, but are you saying that we will be working with a limited menu?

I count 17 people. Jeremy, you need to keep the list updated buddy.
We are using a limited menu because of the # of people. Their kitchen could not keep up with that many people ordering at the same time.

 

Can I put in a request for Chicken Fried Rice or Sweet and Sour Shrimp please? How about some soup (egg drop) or some egg rolls too.

 

Steamed Dumplings .. please .. if not in the menu can CmdrVimes make some ???

the original menu that they made for us was AMAZING!!! Nothing on the menu if you know what I mean. ALL exclusive meals created by the head chef. But alas, it was just to darn expensive. It would have been $40-45 a person! BUT it was truly amazingly good food.
I can not promise that the menu they send us tomorrow morning will have what everyone wants, but I can call and make some adjustments. I will try to get the food you all want.
The reason why they are asking for a limited menu is because at 7:30 it is the high time for dinner, and if everyone orders something different, that will clog up the kitchen. This way a couple of chefs can handle alll our food and not have to worry about clogging up the whole kitchen. We are attempting to keep it down to $20 a person (reasonable for going out to dinner!) this will not include the tax or tip. so if this doesn't sound good for you, PLEASE let us know. We are going to tell them 30 people. The restaruant will have tables for us in the back, and they are going to section off parking around the far side of the restaruant for all of us.

Appetizers:

Entrees:

Honey Seaseme Chicken
Beef w/Green Pepper
Hunan Manor Shrimp
Twice Cooked Pork
Mixed Vegtable w/bean curd

Desserts:

Fresh Oranges and Lychee Nuts


Everyone will be getting every entree and will keep making food until we don't want anymore.

Added bonus, we have our own section for parking. I told them for about 15 MINI's, but they have more room if needed. Let me know NOW if this is good with everyone. HM has to know NOW so than they can prepare.

Hey Jeremy, I am sorry, I rsvp'd without checking my schedule first. Unfortunately, I have to work that night and will not be able to make it. That ok HAPA, I'm sure I'll meet ya sooner or later. Its looking like there is going to be a good sized group to show my parents how cool DCMM people are. Sucks that you can't make it, but you might be able to meet my parental units at a later event (once they realize how kickass DCMM is )

Ok, I just got an email that Morgan has a practice in now till 7:30 instead of 6. That means that the earliest we can get there will be around 9. So I'm thinking you should take us off the list. Sorry about that, kids have a tendency to alter your plans no matter how hard you try and keep control of things. If you guys think that you'll still be there we may try and get up there, but we'll probably already have eaten so it wouls be just to hang out with you all.
