got a nasty door ding yesterday just behind the driver's side door. I've had great luck with paintless dent removal in the past, but was looking for your recommendations (in Nova or MD). anyone got a great PDR guy? thanks.

btw, how's this for a bad car(s) day:

1) door ding
2) rock chip in mini windshield
3) pulled over for having dark tint
4) wife gets a speeding ticket (within 10 minutes of my ticket while in a different car) in the same Va. county. (we were returning from the beach).
5) check engine light on our honda element goes on.

 

1) call dent doc again
2) resin injection repair in windshield if chip is smaller than a quarter
3) POLITELY ask trooper to remove his dark aviator sunglases
4) You are on your own
5)On No...I have an Element too...Buy a cheapo OBC II reader at Harbor fgt tools and find out what it is...check your gas cap for tight (clicks) fit first!

I guess you already know this, but that type of fix only works if the sheetmetal isn't creased.

 

I had one door ding repaired locally (too severe for PDR) for $220.

 

the check engine light on the element sorted itself out this am. turned the car on, drove it around the block and it went off.

will take my car to dent wizard tomorrow morning.

Uh oh - what happened with the cop for the tint? I just got mine done and it did come out fairly dark and I'm worried everytime I go by a cop.

Any idea what % tint they put on your car?

What was the cop's reaction - a warning, a ticket, etc?

blew past a speed trap at about 75 (in a 65). I looked directly at the cop as I drove past. He pulled out, and pulled me over immediately. When he came to the car, he said he stopped me for the "probability of illegal tint." He used a gauge on my window and it read 34 percent. Legal limit is 50, the cop said.
I'm pretty sure I had 35 percent installed a few months back.

So the cop gave me a summons with a phone number I have to call. The person who answers will give me the fine and I can a) pay it or b) drive back to Caroline County and contest it. I'll call later today.

I've had 35 percent on my past 6 cars. This is the first time I've been pulled over because of it.

 

I'd love to see a pic of your car if you get a chance to upload one to your gallery. I need to get some of mine uploaded since I just tinted the windows (and put some fresh Zaino on it).
