Look for Scavenger (Alan) then, he'll have the flags and the sign-off sheet!

Bad news - we can't go! Jon found a bubble in one of the front tires, so he's going to stay on the safe side and opt out of this one. We're soo bummed! Hae fun guys!

I wasn't thinking about it at the time, but I took a quick look at some of my pictures and the really really really close up ones I got actually have some really cool reflections showing. I also have another really sad picture, my poor empty gelato cup.

Looks like you all had a blast! Wish I could have been there, had to attend an academic advising appointment and would rather make a run on new tires too. This college degree better be worth missing out on a MINI run!

Mark, did the CoPilot GPS route help out any?

We got left behind. Saw all of you leaving and tried to catch up. We heard you once, but we had to retrace our steps once or twice and just couldn't catch up. We finally got to 424 and returned to Annapolis via Adm Bridge Road. Saw a lot of new roads anyway and saw a lot of roads that we always intended to go down someday.

Hey,

I forgot to ask, where did you all end up stopping at the end?

The Italian Market.

Pictures uploaded to my site.
I didn't upload the source pictures for the stitched panoramas though.

We were not sure if we lost you or not. I am so sorry we did. We stopped a couple of times at the side of the road and in a parking lot to let people catch up. Thought maybe you might have gotten "the call!"

Thanks to Mark for a fun drive yesterday. We could not have asked Mark to arrange a more perfect weather day

And, I think we should end all our drives from now on with Gelato. That was good!

Sorry we lost you Winston! After the first turn and light we pulled over for a couple minutes, hoping to have everyone! I'd sure like to find a perm car mount type GPRS/FRS radio like a CB. Or at least something longer range than what I have.

Paul, thanks for creating the route! I did a first test run a week ago and made what ended up being several wrong turns. Some of the way points were off the route a bit on side roads. So it'd say turn up Wilson road which I would, then it would say turn around ahead. So I did a second test run during the week and finally realized what happened. I pulled out my laptop on the side of the road and fired up the laptop version of CoPilot 9. On that screen I could zoom and and realized some of the way points were off to the side creating a run up a few hundred yards and then turn around and come back to the route. Weird but once I realized I zoomed in and tweaked them all and cleaned it up.

I'll post the cleaned up versions if you want them after I get back from PA.

But all in all worked great. GREAT route you designed and that was 95% of the work!

Thanks to everyone for coming! And thanks to James for retrieving my flag!

Sounds like you did an awesome job Mark... I'm sorry I had to miss it, but I look forward to attending MBTB4!

Incidentally, how's the V1 working out for you?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that particular part! I had a strange problem with my CoPilot where a couple hundred foot section of Wilson Road was missing! CoPilot just showed as the road ending! So I had to do some weird stuff to make sure it tracked close enough. Sorry, I should have remembered to mention it!

Anyhow, glad to hear that it all worked out in the end and everyone had fun!

Hmmm, the V1 is apparently not a detector, but a eliminator. I did 198 miles on Sat in the MINI, then another 170 on the way to PA in the van. And even the rest of the weekend up there and today coming back not ONE stinkin radar trap. I saw several writing people up already but didn't stumble across any active ones.
