Ok, here is what I am thinking for the DCMM flag. A white flag (that way we don't have to print the white color) with the logo in bright blue and red. I was thinking about having the outlines in blue to save on colors, but if you all want the outline to be black, let me know and I can adjust my thinking (it will make the price a bit higher to set up for three colors). The typical car flag is 11 x 14 inches. Yes it comes on that plastic pole, but I think it can be taken off. That is something I am going to ask whomever I decide to order from.
For those of us with stubbies or no antennea, I don't know what to say, we will think of some way to attach it, we too have a stubby. I was thinking of using the pole and some good strong zip wire...
As soon as I figure out how much it will cost, I will post up a reasonable price for them. From what I am seeing online it will not be more than $10. I think less actually, but I want to be cautious and go on the high side to give an idea. I also think I will ask everyone to prepay so noone (Myself ) is stuck with the full cost of this venture.
Searching today, will have more news updates soon.
I also NEED a file of the logo. A good, clear one, as you can see..mine is a bit faded..dunno why...

MiniNurse - I have the vector of the logo - I can prepare it properly for printing, that is not a problem. Also most of the online places also give a window pole for attaching the flags too - so that is an option for people with Stubby's.

Cool! Thanks and thanks. I talked to the vendor I am thinking about going with, reasonable pricing and the flag can detach from the poll, there is a little clip that holds it on. The only problem will be that there will be about an inch of space in the absense of the poll, so we will have to fashion some kind of clip to hold it on the tent pole that most people have.
The vendor wants the graphic in EPS format, whatever that is, with enough resolution, which I am sure we got!

You know how those flag poles have a lip to put in the door, how about you put in on the boot when you close it. The flag does go in the door right? Or is it the window? I never really noticed.

Once the details are figured out, I'm definitely in for one. I'll probably only display it during club events though (or large events like MOTD, of course).

I'll take 2, please.
I just had an idea...feel free to deep six it if it doesn't work financially, DCMM board.
If we buy in bulk, we could add them to new membership packs..just another piece of fab swag. We could also use them as give-aways and prizes for future events..

I like it. I'll take two (2). I would also support having one in the new member's packet.

I have made a list of everyone who has responded so far in the first post, and want more people to join in! So let me know please if you want a cool DCMM flag to attach to the antenna for runs/special events...I am going to order soon, so let me know!!

Order Time

Im going to try to order flags on Wednesday!!! So if you want one, chime in!! Please, Put a pay pal payment of $10 for each flag to dues2005@dcmetrominis.org Or you can send a check to Marina. PM me if you want her address.
I am asking $10 each for these flags. They are two ply meaning that they are double fabric stitched with the club logo printed on both sides so it can be seen going the right way which ever way you look at it. On the web, typical car flags are $15, so I think that this is reasonable. These are one of a kind, for our club! I will have them shipped to my house, and will be contacting people as I see payment and recieve the flags.
We also have some interest for a 3x5 foot flag with our logo on it as well. If you are interested in this, let me know as well. For that flag $27.50. I will order only if there is more interest because it is expensive for just one!
So place your orders please!!!

I will take a 3x5 and do hereby commit to purchasing same if a order is placed. :-) It would look awesome flying up at the top of the backstay of the boat!
