Sally (ssallykat) and I are planning to head down to Fontana Village on Wednesday, 1 day early. The plan is to hit the road from my place (which is just a short drive south of Route 66, right off the Beltway) at around 10:30am (or 11am at the latest), after the main rush hour traffic has died down. This should allow us to get to Fontana Village by 8pm or so... not too bad.

Is anyone else planning to go on Wednesday, but doesn't want to leave at Oh-dark-thirty in the morning? You're welcome to caravan with us. I know that Sherill (sagworks) has expressed interest... but I thought I'd ask if anyone else is interested.

My wife and I may you along I81 somewhere.

We are departing Waldorf, MD at 9am Wednesday. Taking 301 into VA and smaller roads through Fredericksburg to I64 outside of Charlottesville, VA then over to I81 for the treck to Fontana. Will be stopping at around 5pm south of Morristown, TN (I81 exit 8) for an overnight pitstop to freshen up for Thursday morning's arrival at Fontana Village.

We'll be tuned to 7/21 in a MCS DS/B with TX plates "MY MAUS".

Actually I'm heading down Wednesday so I'm up for this. I can get up in the morning for things, but that doesn't mean I want to. 10:30 is a reasonable time.

 

Ok. Sally has convinced me to be EVIL and to ditch work Tues night, so count me in for this as well. I think a smaller group would get there faster, no? That way, I can offer my help for the Thursday Mayhem!

Woo HOOOOO!!! Jay is coming with us!! I am so happy!!! I really was bummed that I got to go and he couldn't, but now he can go!! And now that he can drive, I can actually make some $$ and work Tuesday night (maybe) I still might call out, since I am sick..YUCK!!! But we will both be motering down on Wed.
