Rain or shine we are there! If it really really rains, do you think anyone will notice if I don't wash my car tomorrow?

All,

I'm keeping an eye on the situation. If it's just a bit of rain, it'll still go on. But if it's massive thunderstorms and showers predicted, I'll likely call the run, due to the drive going through a couple of very flood-prone areas.

As of right now, it looks like some showers early, and slowly clearing up as the day goes on. So as of this post, the run is still on!

Keep an eye on this thread for updates.

And if anyone is uncomfortable driving in any rain, no hard feelings if you back out! I just kindly ask that you 'un-RSVP' in this thread or a PM to me. Thanks!

-Paul!

bah, if it rains I can't do a good test of the camera rig (well any test really) as I don't want to subject non-weather proof stuff to lots of rain.

Yup

If it looks like a wash out we can do a test during the week or next weekend. Once my folks go home Monday I'll have lots of flexibility. I'm anxious to see the quality of those camera 'heads' and purchase a few more if they check out OK. Will touch base with you tomorrow.

I'm down for Rain or Shine.

Just no Hurricanes, massive waves or earthquakes. None of which can be well forecasted

Paul, what time do you think you will get to lunch? I can't make the morning, but will try to meet you guys for lunch and do the back 1/2 of the run plus whatever good bye festivities are planned.

Alright, the run is on! It seems like it's going to be rainy in the morning, but no downpours, then slowly clearing up in the afternoon.

Also, since the group is going to be so large, Katie & (her) Paul volunteered to split the group into 2 or 3 groups, depending on how many folks actually show up tomorrow. *The first group still should leave by 9 AM*, and the next group about 10-15 minutes after that.

Once again though, if you will not be able to show up, *please* send me a PM or post here! Thanks!

Hi Paul! - still waiting for my boyfriend's 6:00pm direct flight back from his business trip in Orlando to even board... It's nearly midnight and they are still telling him that because of "high winds" they are experiencing delays. We should know within the next half hour if they are even going to send the last flight out or not... but even if it leaves now, it still wouldn't arrive in Dulles prior to 2:00am.

So, sorry... I don't think that even if he makes it in tonight that we'd manage to get back up in time for the hour drive over to Annapolis in order to be there by 8:30am. Sorry to miss out on all the fun again!

Good Seeing All the Attendees

Pity the rain couldn't have let up so we could've released some pent-up need to drive spritedly on those awesome roads. My highlight of the drive today was having the back of my FRS radio pop off, ejecting the batteries all over the place (kind of like a WANGBAT erupting wine) after I got it back together I couldn't get power until Katie gave me new batteries - now it sounds like TRON (all garbled) when it receives a message. Sounds like I need a new FRS - I'll jet to Breast Buy this afternoon and pick some up.

Also, I lost $10 in the slot machines but gained a NAM t-shirt. :-) So all in all the day was literally a wash.

All,

Well, once again, thanks to everyone who braved the storm! And I apologize about calling the rest of the drive, but the weather was really just too nasty. Maybe you all could do a MINIs by the Bay II Redux in a couple of weeks!

But, I hope that it was fun anyway, and it was nice seeing you all before my trip to Florida!

Have fun this summer!

-Paul!

Edit: PS - I'm missing a radio that I handed out. If you have it, please PM me to make arrangements for me to pick it up! Thanks!
