I just drove the route...lots of twisties and some very narrow roads..an d I only got lost twice tho' neither time for very long....it's a great route

Paul, sent an email to events@, but didn't hear back. Admittedly, it was a few days late. Can I just show up? I'd hate to crash it. Ok, not really. But I'd feel better if I didn't crash it.

 

I virtually drove most of the run with Google Earth last night. Looks good! As an idea for future runs, would anyone find it interesting/helpful/cool if run's were provided in a file format that we can open in Google Earth so we instantly have the route?

 

Crashers MUST pay for everybody's breakfast !!!

What I'd love to get, Paul, if you planned it out in CoPilot I'd love to get the trip file.

If my car isn't outta the shop by Sat I may have to bring the counterfeit MINI. You know the big one. I'd need the file as it won't keep up with genuine MINI's on twisty roads! On the plus side it does have two stereos, a TV, VCR, 4 captains chairs and a bed

 

You should also have a video camera, cables, and video switched with you too...

I've been asking around at work for people who might have a camcorder so I could do a pre-test. No luck. Oh well.

 

I've got an older miniDV camcorder that you're welcome to test with. PM me if you want to borrow it!

Oh yeah, forgot that you have one too! It's all mapped out. There's just one part on the second half on Wilson Rd. where there's an issue. The CoPilot map is missing a section of road !! But if you ignore the pleas of the CoPilot to turn around, when you make it over the piece of 'nonexistant' road, it figures itself out and is happy again!

I'll email it to you when I get home. (And if anyone else out there has CoPilot 6 GPS software, PM me your email address, and I'll send it along!)

One is 15' the other is 30'. Plenty long enough.
