Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!

Just counting down the minutes until I pick up my new (what is this now.. number FIVE?) MINI Cooper S - this one equipped with JCW. Should be an interesting spec especially since this one has english leather and the LSD!

Waiting on number 6 here. I thought it would be easier this time but it is not. When is your new one due Kurt?

He picks it up tomorrow, Thursday.

This is his fifth.

It's a red & white with JCW performance bits.

I was at Tate this morning, and his red & black MCS is still on the lot, though I cannot confirm if it is still for sale.

Actually Katie - I just had to wait for the JCW kit to be installed - it was ready today so I picked it up tonight. It's as smooth as butter. :-) Different than my old - it was a no-brainer to trade in my old one - I got 21k on a trade - got the JCW at wholesale and get a bit off on the car that Tate had on the lot and it was equipped with LSD and heated seats - the English leather is a bonus. I would've been just as happy with a base MCS w/ LSD only and JCW. :-)

Initial thoughts - Holy crap did I buy a diesel? This thing has a slight dieselesque clatter at cold startup. Buzzzz.. goes the dash. ARGGGH!! English leather seats.. ohsonice (in my best JLo voice), JCW kit, holy crap after it's warmed up this thing is so frigging smooth and FAST! I'm having a hard time keeping my foot out of the throttle. Must remember be nice to myfast. :-)

Clatter gone this morning at startup. Cooper the Dog (CTD) likes the English Leather - he sniffed it when he got in the car - but he's not feeling that great - he may have a broken toe. I'll find out more later today. He's getting x-rays.

poor Mr. Cooper I hope he's OK.. not much they can do for a broken toe...they'd tape it to his other toes, maybe.
Your ride sounds suh-weet. I want a ride next time we meet. Just be careful of Johnny Law. Don't listen to your fast....it's very naughty!

$4500 in attorney fees pretty much made the whole matter go away. :-) I now drive a older, wiser person - and I sold the evil car that made it happen (a modified 02 Subaru WRX)

Doh! You kids play nice!

Krut, you got off lucky as sin after hearing the story-bummer the cop actually caught you!

Glad to hear you like you JCW kit-the last one I drove was just stupid fast, enough to where I wouldn't trust myself to own one. My insurance company would have a field day with my rates as soon as the tickets started to pile up again. And I've been ticket/point free for 5 years, so thats something I could do without.
