Edge Racing?

Marina & I are thinking of buying some wheel/tire bundles from Edge Racing.

Their prices seem insanely low...does anyone know if this is a scam, or what???

I bought a set of wheels from them maybe a year ago and the service was excellent, the wheels were as advertised and came with centering rings.

I graunched one of the wheels and ordered a replacement. It came unbelievably quickly (I'm only a day's shipment away from them), as advertised, matched the others, and came with centering ring.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with them.

I ordered from them... Got something close, but not what I ordered. Was willing to negotiate, but the manager was not.

From my point of view, the managers are a$$hat morons who would rather lose money than re-work a sale (they preferred to refund tires + shipping for the tires back, as well as pay for shipping back... Rather than just refund me shipping costs.).

But. I got all of my money back... And though it took a few weeks, all worked out well in the end.

I'd likely buy from them again if I saw something I wanted. They do have good prices, and other than the wheels lacking a small detail (and a$$hat office manager), everything seemed to be in order.

I've ordered from Edge Racing multiple times (wheels and tires) and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. I still stick to TireRack for many of my purchases, but Edge carries many products that TireRack doesn't (like Falken, Toyo, Hankook, Enkei, etc)

Thanks for the quick replies, folks...

Right now I have 15" wheels. Should I stay with that, or go 16 or 17? What do you think? Is it true I have to "re-set everything" if I change wheel size??

1010tires.com has a nice tire diameter tool, under the tech section me thinks. 'wheel size' calculator, or something or other.

You don't have to reset everything if you use that tool to stay within 2% of your current diameter. Let me know if you need a hand using it.

Awww... You're getting your new wheels before me. Mine won't be availible until Mid-march, as thats when the first batch of them are being shipped.

Wasps are nice. Hope you like em!

Well, if you don't know already for sure that you want 17"s, then I'd say go with 16"s. They will look a little beefier on the car (which is good) but you won't sacrifice very much in terms of the ride quality you are used to.

Personally, I dig 17s, but that's just me, and I certainly don't mind the stiffer ride that comes with 17s.

I chose 16" as the best compromise between street/highway handling, road noise, wheel+tire weight, looks, etc. The compromise, all-purpose, year-round tires I use are Falken Ziex ZE-512s, 205/50R16s.

I got my fn01rc's from them last year. The price was as advertised but it took a while to get them. I've heard the same from some of my friends that have ordered from them, but for the price I can wait. I really want to get a set of wasps in black this year
