DCMM Annual Business Meeting - March 4, 2006 2:00 pm

DCMM's Annual Business Meeting will be held on March 4.

This is a member's only event. It is the same day as our first Tech Session of 2006. While both members and non-members are invited to join the Tech Day at Lucky Dog, only members can come to the annual meeting immediately following.

This is our main planning meeting for the year. We'll be talking about where we want to see the club go in 2006, our current financial state, future financial state, Dragon plans, the web site and our bylaws.

The terms of five or seven Board of Director's will be expiring this year. This means we will be electing five members to serve on the Board. One person to take over the last year of a two year term and four people to serve a new two year term.

Continuing on the Board for the second year of a two year term are:

Myself
Marina

Leaving the Board as the two year term is ending are:

Tom C
Sam C (who took an open position until the annual meeting)
Dave C (who took an open position until the annual meeting)
Paul B (who took an open postion until the annual meeting

Leaving the Board:

Janelle W. - our current and currently fabulous Secretary!
We will be electing someone to fill out the remainder of her term.

If you have any interest in running for a DCMM Board Position, or if you would like to nominate somebody for a Board Position, please send me an email to membership@dcmetrominis.org. Nominations need to be in by February 25, so I can post them and create the ballots. Both Dave and Sam have already indicated they would like their names on the ballot.

I plan to have us arrive, eat and get to the meeting as dessert is served.

Very Slow RSVP Response

Ladies and Gentlemen, fellow MINI owners, DCMM members, lend me your ears.................ok enough of that.

Seriously, I have one, count it one, RSVP for this meeting. It will not be much of a meeting without our membership. If this date and time are just impossible for the vast majority, please let me know and we can see about changing it. Otherwise, please RSVP!

Thanks

Jen

Jen,

Perhaps some people, as part of the Tech Day RSVP, thought they were also RSVPing for the annual meeting. I sure intended to come to both.

In what form are you hoping to receive the RSVPs? Here on this thread? Or are responses on the Tech Day thread that Tom Clark linked to above sufficent? Or do you need direct email replies?

I suspect you'll find that a LOT more than one person already intends to come, and may have even spoken up already to that effect (via the other thread).

When I emailed the official "events" email address at the request of Tom, I think I listed both events on it.

I agree though, the more the better - it's the one BIG meeting of the year!

However people RSVP is fine, but I do need to know the head count for Lucerna Grill and also the sandwhich choice. This has to be made in advance.

Pretty much that is what I plan to do. I will add burgers and a few more pulled porks. Gotta assume anyone with a vegetarian preference would have let me know by now!

Working on the adgenda now. Should be a great meeting.
