Hi DCMMers,

File this under shameless self-promotion---I'm the proud parent of a 2002 MCS and also the lead singer in a DC-based Blues-Fiddle band called The Roustabouts . The people who told you the blues were dead are LYING .

We are playing tonight at the Velvet Lounge (915 U St. NW)starting at 9 p.m. We will be followed by another band at 10 and another at 11. More info at our website.

We play around DC, usually a couple shows a month, including a regular 3rd Saturday gig at the Zoo Bar (starting Feb 18). If you get the chance, come by at check us out tonight, or heck, wait a month and organize a club outing to the Zoo Bar for our Saturday show.

My mom and step-dad are also in a band. They call themselves "The Badabing Blues." I'll ask them if they've heard of you
