This Don Pablos is at 3525 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305. (On Rt 1 just south of Crystal City, or about a mile north of Oldtown Alexandria.)

Suggesting next Tue, the 17th at Don Pablo's . Anyone interested but who wants to metro can get in touch and I'll pick em up at Crystal City Metro.

We can discuss time... I'm off pretty early at 4, so I'll let others pick the time since most work later.

Note: No one is allowed to come if it will prevent them from also coming to breakfast that weekend! If you're only willing to do one event a week come to the breakfast Sat the 21st at Sterling. I don't want to undermine a standing tradition...

 

Wife gets off @ 6pm. If it's before 7, I probably won't be able to make it.

 

Are new possible members welcome? If so I would like to meet up there. Plus it's real easy for me, I work in old town.

 

I think most members came to a event first to check out the crowd... I know I did. But I joined anyway!!

Will, I imagine that will be the case for many. There's a bar! area where early birds could hang out for a bit. (Be careful drivers) And for those not familiar with the area, there's a Barnes and Noble, Target, etc. on the lot to kill time before hand if needed.

Not going to be able to make this , already promised my mother I'd help her frame some big art pieces for her show coming up next month.

Oh well, family comes first... and im not a big fan of mexican food anyways. If this becomes a monthly event, maybe we can try different restaurants? A different DCMM member could scout out a place and host the event? Id be up for contributing to the club in this way.

 

Can someone give me a more specific address on where this is so I can figure out if I can/want to make it?

As for suggestions for places, Dogfish Head (where we went with indimini before thanksgiving) was a really nice place. There's a Chevys in Greenway Plaze (Greenbelt, MD) that I've been to a couple of times. Franklins in Hyattsville brews their own beer too.

 

Two years ago during the winter months I scheduled a series of dinners, once per month on Monday nights. MINI Mondays. It worked really well and we had good turnout.

Matt - restaurant is in the big shopping complex between downtown Crystal City and Alexandria -- just past Glebe Road. I cannot remember the name of the place to save my life. Target is there. A Shopper's Food Warehouse. A movie theatre.

Well it seems james and I are pretty sure we will be coming, though we will both need to be picked up at the metro...

 

Both Crystal City metro and Braddock Road metro are close to Potomac Yard... I'm sure people will be able to pick you up, who does it is probably just a question of what time you get there... although Mark has already volunteered in his first post!

OK, so after I posted I read through the thread thoroughly... so, now I know it's at Potomac Yards and I'll probably be able to get there by 6:30pm.

I also plan to go to the breakfast.

 

For others who don't know yes Potomac yard is a 'strip shoppng center', parking is plentiful.

 

Okay, I'll probably make it to this. If I do, I could also provide sagworks/james a ride depending on when they were planning on leaving. I believe they live relatively close to where I work.

 

And anyone needing a ride from Crystal City Metro just let me know...

Why dont' we gather in the bar area, to right as you come in. I can contact 'Senor Pablo' and ask about a table for ten (as it stands so far) for 7:15 as fudge factor... If anyone thinks they want to get there earlier and hang in the bar speak up, I can be there any time. Though if I do so I'll have to duck out to get the Metro'ers...
