DCMM 10% off - have you tried...

Hi all,

I just ordered my new mini and several of the items are accessories/parts with dealer installation. I read that my DC Metro MINIs membership gets me 10% off parts and service at MINI of Sterling, and was wondering if anyone else has used it to get the discount on the upfront purchase and installation of the accessories (aero kit, bumper guard, window tinting (maybe), etc).

Thanks!

John

Its only good on accessories bought after the car purchase. With my car @ Tate MINI I bought so many accessores (Aero kit, R99s, security system) that I got a deal on those items without and mention of the club.

it's good for 10% discount for parts and service over at towson.
just make sure you have the card at time of purchase.

they wouldn't apply it to the stuff i ordered w/ the car.
(i had ordered the regular rubber mats and wanted to
trade up to the S-version if they were willing to apply
the discount. no go. )

at Sterling

I ordered my car at Sterling and was talking with my MA about dealer installed accessories and he told me I would get 10% off of all the accessories and labor.

I used my DCMM discount at Towson on my aero kit that I got when I bought the car. It was only on parts, not labor. The MA had no clue about DCMM but gave me the discount after I showed the card and pointed him to the web site.

Not upfront but I have used it extensivily at several dealers including Sterling. I would suggest NOT ordering the accesories (Unless you need it in there for the financing) and then just order them after the fact?

Tinting, plenty of places for tinting

That's because the discount is organized between the service and parts staff at the dealership, the sales staff are completely out of the loop...

just so people know... invisishield from dealer-can't use discount

You can not use he DCMM discount on the dealer installed Invisishield, I guess its because they actually dont install it. Though my MA said I can order parts with my car, pick them up when I take delivery of the car and get my discount. This is at Sterling.

I can't vouch for Sterling but when I ordered my JCW MCS with Tate back in April, I received the 10% discount on parts and labor for JCW Kit, JCW Suspension, and JCW Brakes. If you're in the S MD region, Total Eclipse II in Waldorf did a great job tinting my car.

Yes, Virginia, there is a discount...

I went by MINI of Sterling today to wrap up my order paperwork and asked my MA (Jeff) about the DCMM 10% discount and if it applies to the dealer installed parts/service before I take delivery. He called someone and confirmed that it's the case. So, my $$ goes down a bit and I can still finance the remaining amount.
