Looks like I'm not going to make it tonight.

The girlfriend is sick and doesn't feel up to it.

Catch you guys next time.

I am still planning on coming to the dinner and the drive, but won't hang out for the movies. I am beat this week from work and doubt I can stay awake and coherent much later than 7:00 pm.

Even if the event cancels due to weather anyone still want to just have dinner and a drive?

Out west of town it is sunny and pretty -- we just had a small passing shower -- but all gone now --- doubt we should even consider canceling for weather --- it's perfect outside.

Just got home 20 minutes ago... I had a great time, and I know that my friends Alan & Kattiya did too.

Paul, awesome job, thanks for organizing it. I'm sorry to anyone that might have hung out after the 2nd movie, I had to split fast, because I have to get up at 6:30am tomorrow (today)! Didn't want to miss the 2nd movie though - dammit I want my cake and eat it too.

Looking forward to the next event - probably won't be B&B (we'll see), but if not, another one soon for sure.

When we dropped out of the caravan last night, we were experiencing a severe case of engine indigestion. There was misfire, stalling -- we even saw the SES light blink briefly a couple of times (not a sight to make you happy). It all started instantly when I accelerated out of the Apple House. Thanks to everyone who hung around to be sure we were okay.

We called AAA, who sent a friendly crew with a transporter. They give WILLI a ride home. When the dealer opens this week, MINI Roadside Assistance will transport WILLI to the service folks for diagnosis and treatment. We're hoping for a simple problem, like bad gas from our pit stop just before the drive.

We had a great time last night, briefly. It was fun to meet people we hadn't seen on a drive yet. And the Cannonball car, and the yellow beauty that was parked in front of the restaurant, are both really great looking!

Take care.

All,

Thanks to everyone who came out to this event! It almost seemed like I knew what I was doing! It was loads of fun - especially when we pointed our headlights to the sky, and confused the heck out of the locals!

willimini,

Sorry that happened!! I hope that it ends up being a simple quick fix!

It was a lot of fun. We originally weren't planning on staying for both movies, but honestly I'm glad we did. Coach Carter was a surprisingly good movie!

Although getting home at 2AM, not nearly as much fun My butt's been dragging all day!

If we do another one this summer, I've got a great idea for a B/W picture...

Paul,

Great job - drive-in was a great idea! Looking forward to seeing your slippers with "Xenon's". As usual, enjoyed the company and the drive.

Lew - sorry to hear. Hope it's an easy fix.

Hope to make it to B&B next weekend.

Marty

Hello all

Very nice seeing everyone for dinner and I enjoyed the drive. Sorry that I could not stay for the drive-in, but I need all the sleep I can get with work these days

Very well done event.....we should do the Baltimore area drive in sometime in August as an end of summer event.
