Annapolis/Mexican - MARGARITTTTTTAAAS

ok, so i was sitting at 'the mexican' joint in annapolis, yeah you know the one with $4 margaritas that include $15 of liquor.....and I thought, hey, with the weather as nice as it is, how about a little gathering this week, next.

I am thinking during the week, because, well, I have a bathroom to grout and the weekends are called for.

Any takers?

Give me a date and time and I will see if I can leave work early enough to get up there.

/me checks the weather. --> weather is good till weekend.

Thursday?

Location:

Aris T Allen Blvd(Rt 665). this turns into Forest Drive, and then turns into Bay Ridge Road. The Mexican Cafe is the right after the light past the Safeway(on left). ....or two lights after the McDs(on right).

http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q...+Annapolis,+MD

The Place:

The Mexican Cafe - ok, this is a step down in comfort from the official Tortila Factory, but it has outdoor seating with large picnic tables. I recommend the margaritas and the chips and salsa. The rest is a little hit and miss depending on how the cooks have been drinking that day.

we will probably not be able to reserve seating or anything, but we shall see.

Notes:

IF the weather is raining.....then i suggest cancellation....there is some funky odor in the restuarant itself.

I'm always up for food. And given that Annapolis isn't too far away from where I work (Beltsville) I could make it after work.

Does this place serve other things? As in its not just a bar. I'm still several months away from a legal drink.

Is that a good thing? I mean you can say McD is very distinctive in that it will make you want to throw up.

well, I like it. I know the place is popular with the luncheon housewives and various boaters......although I am not sure if its the food or the margaritas.

....actually, I am not sure when to say we should all get there. So, I am taking the approach of getting there as soon as work is over and working from there. I guess that puts the time from 5-7pm. CPhone : 4105620704

I have a profesor who's trying to get together a place for cinco de mayo. He suggested The Mexican Cafe and Los Portales. Apparently, any where around the Annapolis area, he's quite popular with all the latino restuarants

5 pm is too early for me . I 'll to get stuck in traffic... I can be there around 6:30 and I might bring a collegue from work (Italian who speaks little English) if it's OK.

And I don't care much about the food as long as the Margaritas are good.

the more the merrier. 6:30 is fine, I have no idea how long it will take to get down forest drive during that time.

this still on for today?
if so how are we supposed to tell who is who? (i'm sorta new to the club)
Of all the people responding I only know what Paul! looks like.
That being said I'm sticking around work a little longer today to make up for leaving early yesterday, but that will still give me plenty of time to make it to annapolis by 6:30 (assuming traffic doesn't suck hard).

if you pull up in a mini, we should be able to flag you down.....but if that is too much, I will have a dark blue NAUTICA baseball cap with me. There are about 4-5 big, light blue picnic tables and assuming that one of us gets there in time to hold one, we will try to sit there.

I won't make it. Rain is messing with scheduled exterior repairs and need to make plans for making the day up
