Tapping noise from dash

Ok, how do you explain a noise, ? I have a Jan 05 build MCS with the nav system (so no speedo in the center). My dash makes this annoying tapping, creeking sound as I drive. It sounds like dropping sand or pebbles on plastic and seems to come from inside the dash behind the nav screen or the radio-heater-toggle panel. Oddly, it gets worse as the car warms, when it is cold, its silent. I have pushed and twisted and tweeked everything on the dash to no avail. I have ruled out, whatever that means, the windshield and A pillars, the dash top and vents and all the little plastic rings and things that surround stuff on the dash. I would rather not tear the whole dash apart but may have to. Has anyone heard this kind of thing in their MINI, if so, what did you do? Please help!

Thanks,

Oban

It's the leprechaun trying to escape.

Seriously, take it back to the dealer and make them fix it.

I agree, when you have time call them and see if they can take a look at it. I on the other hand lately have the other problem you mention with the A-pillar noise. I hope it won't lead to the car's frame cracking the windshield. But we'll see. I'm living with it for now.
