Please pass the surgical mask........

Sorry guys, I'm not going to be able to make it to the party. The Man (flu) has me down today . For the past 24 hours, I've felt like I've been run over by a truck . Have fun and see you at the next one.

If you missed this party ---

--- you missed out on a stellar time.

Ok, while it was a small but mighty group -- I have to say it was fun.

Highlights (or lowlights as it were):

Beating the arms and legs off of SpongeBob Square Pants.
Watching Marina play fuseball.
Explaining the rules to the Yankee gift exchange (with Michael's commentary on my explaination)
The discussion on why Paul's in the Navy (I still think it has something to do with wearing his name on his butt

and finally, my highlight was stealing the PERFECT salt and pepper shakers from the only person I know who collects them --Katie. (Thanks Tom and Elizabeth -- I *LOVE* them and they are on my table already!)

The food was outstanding -- I'll take lasagna any day of the week -- and I'm a wee bit proud of my chili. Chris makes an excellant apple pie. Actually everything was yummy -- we have some good cooks and Paul's cooking will ever improve with his new cookbook

So, if you missed it --- no matter the reason --- you missed an awesome good time.

Hugs,
PB

(Bruce: I have your membership card -- Didn't want you to wonder where it got off to)

pardon me let's correct history !!

1) It was I who was winning against my husband ... He just gave up !!!!

2) The first games my teammate was Paul ... He made me lose (it costs him a drink !!! )

3 ) I let you win the fuseball game one in one because you are the President of the Mini Club ... I did not want for you to feel hurt

Great food: Love the chili !! and I am still dreaming of the Caramel Apple Pie. Never had one sooooooooo tasty.

As far as the presents goes ... It was funny to win another Mini Cap for a few seconds .. (if John D. were there he would have loved to see my expression to lose the Mini Hat for good this year, and to see me going home with a Snow Man instead.. )

What about the other two games?

Heck I was feeling sorry for you during the third game and gave you two goals!

I'm just glad I did not sustain permanent injury by being hit in the head by a sponge bob leg! And hopefully, the moment is not captured on film by either Bruce or Tom!

I think Paul was trying to tell me something..................

I'm still amused that SpongeBob had to loose both arms and legs before candy poured out of his bottom!!! oh my....

how fun was that. Thanks, Katie.

And nothing is as fun as stealing presents!!!

I want those S&Ps!!!!

Sorry Jen, for the fright...at least you weren't hurt!
Have y'all come down from the sugar high yet? I think a pinata should be a tradition, but we'll have to include safety goggles.

Small, but lots of laughs ...oh wait...that's not me...that was the party!!

I'm thinking that "special" and "Navy" don't belong in the same sentence!!!

Unless of course you mean "Short Bus"/special.

So, now let's think what could be in it.....hmmmm....(what was it we talked about with hazing again? I forget.)

Hugs,
PB

A pinata at future parties would be fun. I'll bring a hardhat too.

I have three questions about the party, since I didn't make it! First, who won the little blue R/C MINI Cooper I donated? Use the faster engine, it makes it really cool! Second, why are Sponge Bob Square Pants feet under my Z3 Coupe???? and lastly, Chris, what's a 'record'?

1. Michael stole the R/C MINI from *ME* just in time for me to steal the salt and peppers from Katie!!! So, we left with quite the 'booty'

2. Where else should his feet be?

3. I dunno.

---but for my question to you -- why the heck did you think a black tie event was better than the PARTY!?!?!!?!?!?!

Hugs,
PB

Heh, heh, heh. The Black Tie was set a long time ago, before even the orginal MINI party. And... I had a date for it.

Well, we had to put the SpongeBob legs somewhere, didn't we??

OR

Your MINI was nowhere to be found!

As if your date wouldn't have thought beating the heck out of SpongeBob would have been more fun than a stuffy black-tie affair --- heck, after all it didn't have *MY* homemade chili!!!

Speaking of which, I've entered the Dragon Chili Cook-off this year. I figure i ran it last year---I can enter this year. So, those of you who ate my chili --- a winner, yes? no?

Hugs,
PB

MB -- here is a little thought for you:
....
A passionate young girl from Madrid
once had an affair with a squid.
She said "I've tried eels.
and even a few young seals,
but once you've been squid, you've been did!
Just got back home from Russia. Only saw one Mini the entire week.

It wasn't that bad -- Temps ranged from -8C to +3C, light snow a couple of days, bright sun 3 days. The cold places in Europe are further south. Sarjevo was reporting -25C.

It was a great! week. We were treated like royalty. Too much vodka and good food.
