MINI presents for Christmas/Hanukkah?

So, who received MINI gifts for the holidays and what did you get?

Santa brought me a nice little 1:18 scale factory JCW model and matchbox MINI tree ornament . I gave my mother a cabrio visor/hat, NAM calendar, and factory glovebox organizer for her MINI.

Our next door neighbors bought Michael and I a little remote controlled Electric Blue S. Not sure the proper scale.

Santa brought Michael a saddle bag storage system from Angus.

Isabelle is getting mud flaps as soon as someone can be convinced to install them!

Let's go racing

Quickie got a new friend. A brand new 1960 Front Engine Dragster. Yep. The garage is getting full. I found an NOS Slingshot frame that was in the rafters of a barn in Pa. Since Quickie is short and the dragster is 102 inches, a little scooting forward on the MINI and voila! Three cars in the garage. Everyone can follow along at www.mightyquick.com to see how we build a brand new digger. Its on the vehicles page as "Old Bones". Stay tuned.

Elmer and his Mini had a very nice Christmas!

Santa brought my Mini a new cupholder and a set of tire valve covers (photos later).

Mrs. Claus gave me a Mini cuckoo clock! It'll go well with the other toys on my desk.

My older son-in-law gave me a 1:24 scale radio-controlled Mini. That will be fun for the grandkids when they visit.

Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas to all

Santa was very good to our MINI family. Scooter got new tires and wheels, Ariel got a wind blocker and they both got the "auto-up" circuits from Ian here on NAM... Mike & Donna got the 2003 and 2004 Snow Globes to add to the ever growing collection of MINI items...

And my best friend back in Virginia sent us each the RC MINIs from Radio Shack - one red and one blue...

Chow!

Donna

I got a new MINI!!

One of those little matchbox-size remote control cars. It was fun for all of Christmas day, but the next day, it wouldn't go anymore.

Oh well, back to Target with it.

The parental units gave me the glove box organizer.
When I opened the box and showed them what it was there was a look of "that's it?". I don't think they were quite sure what to expect it to be. I one the other hand knew what to expect. That's all really, unless you count the money my grandmother gave me to order stuff online (which is going to be a bunch of Autoglym stuff).

Pretty sure that is the Nikko R/C MINI, 1/24th scale! It comes with a hopped up motor you can install to make the MINI run faster... yeah, I bought four of them!

For Christmas, I got a portable DVD player that plugs into the MINI and can let me watch Italian Job or whatever movie I like. And... a nice little AutoArt yellow and black MINI Cooper! It's cool.

PM me if you need use of a pulley removal tool and/or belt tensioner tool. I'm about 20 minutes up the road from you, and have both from my recent 19% install.

Team England Football Flags

My relatives in the UK sent some neat car decals for the England Football (a.k.a. soccer) team:

I'm waiting 'till spring to put them on.

What I got

My brother got me a Mini polo shirt, checkered flag valve stem caps and a Mini key chain.

My nephew went nuts and sent me a Mandarina Duck Mini overnight luggage piece (orange - from the Mini website store) and two 1/24 scale radio controlled Minis so that we can have races in the halls at work!

My wife's parents got us matching remote control MCS. 1:18 scale Electric Blue Cooper S's. It was a lot of fun to go and drive them out in the driveway together. Felt like little kids again.

My wife ran into the front corner of my car with hers... the horror. She broke the A-arm. Had to take it into the "shop". :D A few screws and a little crazy glue and we were back in the streets within hours.

Don't even have the car yet and already doing repairs. I just hope she doesn't drive that way with the big one when it comes Now she wants me to build shelves to display our Mini's.

Of course while I had the car apart I was looking for ways to mod it. Might get some decals and model paint to make mine look different. They all just rolled their eyes at me when I suggested it.
