Service Manual by Bentley Publishers

For those of you who don't know it, there is a MINI Cooper, Cooper S 2002-2004 Service Manual by Bentley Publishers out. This is a hard copy book and it is huge. They list for about $100 but I got one on ebay for about $65 with shipping. Its very similiar to the old Chilton's manuals, full of pictures, how to's and technical stuff. Worth looking into.

Got one. HIGHLY recommended, even to those who don't delve too deeply into their own car's innards.

When will the manual come out to include the model '05? I have the book, but am soon getting an 05. What are the differences I should note and look for?

The Bentley website has a forum and early this year someone asked whether they would publish a 2005 update. They said no because there weren't enough changes from the 2002-2004 models, and it was too close to the 2007 model change to make it worthwhile for them.

There is also a new manual just released in the UK by Haynes that does cover 2005, although not the convertible. To research for the book, they completely dismantle and rebuild a MINI (and then they sell the car). See: http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/s...atalogId=10001

Thanks Everyone

The link posted by Wagnbat confirmed the best deal for me was at Walmart - $58 + $4 in shipping and tax. An even better deal!
