MINI of Arlington

Hey, I recently heard from MINI USA that a new MINI dealership is going to be established in Arlington VA. Does anyone have any timeline?

The rumour is it's Passport MINI located in Alexandria VA. Won't be open for another year - maybe never considering this economic climate.

Mmm, wonder it that's the one at Glebe road... A couple blocks from my office! Wouldn't that be sweet! For me... service wise

Wow, a MINI dealership withIN the beltway?!!! That would be a GODSEND for me! While scenic, I HATE driving out to Sterling for minor quibbles so I can use my warranty. Anyplace where we can read about these rumors?

Hopefully it will be more legit than the last "MINI of Arlington" circa 2002...

any new update on this? I gotta troubleshoot a possible coolant leak/tstat/ps fan issue. I'm still under warranty, but have to take most of a day off work when I need to go to the dealer because they are so far away.

Hey, is Saturday service a Sterling worth a try now. I heard so many horror stories but is it better now?

That would be nice. Also, I emailed http://www.bmwofarlington.com but they were too stuck on themselves to respond back to see if they would service Minis.

Given that there's nothing on MINIUSA's site I would work under the assumption that a dealership will not be opening in the area soon enough to meet anybody's short term service needs.

There may be a few BMW only dealership's willing to work on MINIS - but I've yet to find one who will honor any of MINI's warranties.
