[Sat, Nov. 15th] Baltimore County Bridges and Backroads Blitz: 1 Year Later

After the MoT Meet and Greet, come join us for a jaunt around the Baltimore County countryside!

This is a re-run of the first run that I put together last November (hence the 1 year later reference).

We'll travel around the Loch Raven Reservoir area and backroads in the vicinity.

We'll cross several old steel bridges and a wooden covered bridge.

After the run, we'll stop at Andy Nelson's Barbeque for lunch.

Time: following the MoT Meet and Greet, 11:30, Saturday, November 15th.

Where: we'll depart from MoT's parking lot

RSVP here: [I will be attending this event]

Actually, I think that was taken on the Cabin Fever Run.

On the B.C.B.&B.B. run we go in the opposite direction on that bridge. Plus all the pretty leaves were still on the trees.

As I'm having a total hip replacement next Monday the OFFICIAL SWEEPER

position is now open til at least mid Jan. Come on it's fun back there. Where

else can you say to yourself, "where in the hell did they go!!" In all the runs

that I have been sweeper I have yet to get the one finger wave, so dont

let that bother you(and you get to go fast!). Everyone have fun and I'll

see you all in Jan.

Rab,

You leave some awfully big driving shoes to fill.

It's gonna feel strange not hearing your voice on the radio.

Best wishes for a successful operation and a speedy recovery.

Looking forward to a re-run of your run this spring.

Not a huge RSVP list yet! I'm keeping my eyes on the weather, it looks like their might be a slight rain in the morning, but tapering off in time for the run! AND it will be warm (65 F)

I hate to say it, but Bill's perfect weather record looks like it is going down the tubes. We were looking forward to finally getting out on a run. The forecast just gets worse and worse. If things are a little better than predicted, we will still try to make it. Not too optimistic.

Well, I hope we don't surprise people too much, but we are in on this one...rain and all I think. The Grandparents are in town, so we need to take advantage of some free time that we won't have again until like May 2009.

How long does it take to make the run?

8 for 8 ! ! ! ! ! !

The drizzle was still falling as I walked into MoT this morning.

By the time everyone showed up, the rain had stopped.

We drove the route under skies that varied from "looks like it might rain again" cloudy to "why didn't I bring my &%^$@ sunglasses" bright.

But not 1 drop of rain fell during the run!
As a matter of fact, I drove the whole route with my sunroof open.

As we were leaving Andy Nelson's, the sprinkles started again. Shortly thereafter, the downpours started.

I'd like to thank everyone who braved the elements and came out for the run:
Tim - drove the run with 2 broken toes
Josh
Christine
Eric
John
Byl
Jan
Wendy
Dale
Freddie & Deuce

Thanks to Byl & Jan for sweeping duties.

Odd piece of trivia: the R 53's and R56's were a minority (1 each). There were 2 convertibles and 3 Clubmans.
