Howdy All --

I've been waiting in shear anticipation of the day when I'd be approved to post, and FINALLY, I'm able to do so!!

And with that, introduction: my name is Byl and my Clubman is Vic. Vic was acquired from MoS last Wednesday, thanks to the hard work of Krut. Though I was not the first sale for Krut, I do have the distinction of being his first delivery.

I just want you all to know that working with Krut to get this car was great. And I'd like to apologize to all of you who have had to wait for your MINI's. I, somehow, ended up walking out of the showroom with mine. Please don't hate me because I'm fortunate. I'm still in a complete quandary as to how it happened. But then, when providence intervenes, I suppose one should not question. Ohhhhmmmm!

So, here is Vic in all his glory:



I do wish that everyone's buying experience could be like mine was. But, guess what, it's probable that it could be!! Here's the formula:

1. Go to MINI of Sterling
2. Find Krut
3. Buy car
4. Drive away satisfied

I've been reading the forums and various reviews of MoS for a few days and really expected a total hassle getting through the buying experience. But, I was fortunate to meet Krut on my first visit to the showroom.

Honestly, you couldn't ask for a nicer, more informed sales person. He answered all of my questions and was a font of knowledge with regard to MINIs. Guess owning 8 of them will make you that way!!

But seriously, if are looking to buy a MINI, see Krut. He'll do you right. AND, if you go to the showroom totally unprepared to buy and don't want to sell your existing car, he'll follow you back to your house so that you can get your checkbook, then drive you back to the dealership and tell you all about the car your buying on the way. Amazing!

And with that, I away! I look forward to getting to know you all and joining the DCMM!

Byl was the perfect first delivery.. didn't even have to have a C-Section to deliver it! :-) Thanks for the kind comments! By the way, Byl forgot to mention he was wearing a Commodore 64 t-shirt when he showed up.... I did laugh out loud. :-)

So, actually, since I told this to Krut, I should probably fess up: I named my car after my first home computer, the VIC20. I'm thinking about having #20 racing number decals made to apply to Vic's doors!

I know, I know, way to geeky, but then you have to understand: once I found out that the onboard computer is customizable, my first thought was, 'Is it hackable?' So, I spent a whole evening researching how.

Now I regret not getting the NAV system. What with the screen, I could have reprogrammed it to play PONG and BreakOut, so my passengers would have something to do!!!

Good grief ! Its bad enough that we're dorks when it comes to MINIs to begin with......now you throw in the computer dork thing.....its like "Double dork" !

Just kidding of course, welcome to the wonderful world of MINI ! Nice motorcar you have there, great to hear that MOS now has an excellent MA ! (Back in 2004 I was treated like a toad there and I never went back)

I cannot recall if I have seen a BRG /S Clubbie yet.....looks nice !

Congrats Byl and Krut! Very nice colors indeed. I wanted BRG first but my daughter was allowed to choose the colors. I love my HC but yours is sharp!

The bike rack carrier looks neat, I installed one this evening. Thanks again for the help in shuttling them out to the MINI.

 

Thanks Mike - your friend is really nice! I'm hoping she'll come back with her husband once she talks to him. Also, I've been doing my DCMM part by putting the club's address on the back of my business cards.
