Brake Pad replacement
It's on the MD side of the river, but you might consider Behe Performance (formerly known as the Lucky Dog Garage). Give John a call at 410.489.0230.
Especially for the front brakes, I highly recommend using EBC's GreenStuff pads (http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html ). In addition to being superior to the OEM pads, they have the additional benefit of reducing all that black crud
that deposits on the inside of your wheel rims
. If you want these, just tell John and he'll have them ready when you bring your car in.

I'd encourage you to do it yourself... It's pretty easy if you're at all handy. I've got company through next weekend or I'd offer my garage and tools. If you're not in a rush... Always meant to do a DCMM brake clinic...
And for my two cents. I love the Hawk Ceramics. Extremely low dust, and in my case with silver wheels, the little quanity of light grey dust barely shows.

As another option, if Behe is too far away, give Dan over at MachV a call. The shop is about a mile away from Mini of Sterling just off RT28.
I think they've got EBC's and Hawk's. Not sure about Hawk's (posted late, mmatarella just gave them a thumbs up). I've never run them and I haven't heard anything bad about them. I've been happy with EBC's. I'm currently running the greens.

I'll most likely be getting Carbotech's soon and have them installed at Mach V.

Thanks for the responses! I've never been particular about the brakes on my car until I purchased a Mini.
Oh how I wish I could do my own brakes! I will check out Mach V as it is in VA (and just a bit closer).
Thanks again!
