Everyone,

I thought I'd start this thread since I've got to find lodging for myself at MOTD and thought maybe there were others in the club in the same boat. It makes sense to start close and work out to the main NAM lodging thread later. So, My wife can't make it, and some other plans haven't worked out, so it's just me and my MINI.

 

I wish I could join you.

May is not good for me, kids still have school.

Yeah I know, a real shame that she won't be there too.

 

I might be in the same boat myself. I'd love to go but my boyfriend will be finishing up the semester and has at least one exam that weekend, so I'm still deciding if I go without him or not.

Either way, I still need to find a lodging and it looks like a lot of the choices are being snatched up as we speak.

 

keep your eye out for lodging...it'll change daily, I assure you..

 

Maybe if enough of you chip in, you can get enough people together to "save" the 3 big bedroom cabin that Stacey has/had?

Not sure if she's already given it up though...

 

That may be a possibility that we haven't ruled out yet. I will need to discuss it with her.... maybe it will become the DCMM straggler cabin? LOL

Seriously though, Stacey and I will need to discuss and we'll need a firm plan very soon, otherwise, it will be lost.

 

If this cabin is saved, I need to check with Fontana and decrease the reservation to Wed night...Who would be there Wednesday? Alan said he wasn't coming till Thurs... HAPA can't come again this year... NYC is eating their savings account, and the roads are killing his MINI.

I am ready to cancel it and see if I can get back the money I put into it already. I don't want to wait much longer since we are coming down to the wire. I am really hesitant to offer it, since I am NOT going to take the responsibility for keeping it...especially since I have a bed in another cabin now for the 8 days I am going to be there.

I am willing to release it to someone else to take over the reservation... Or I am going to cancel it. Jay wants me to do it today.

 

If you all can find some others to take it over, than do it ASAP. The longer she waits, the less chance she has to get the deposit back. That is what I am worried about.

 

I have a two bedroom cabin that I can share. I have it since Wednesday. I snore like hell. Let me know

Couldn't you just move it over to the Dragon thread? If this is Clo's old cabin, it'll be snapped up in a heartbeat, I'm sure....

Help, having trouble following this. I am attending MOTD but will not be there until Fri mid-day. Staying Fri and Sat. My 16 yr old son is coming w/ me. We need somewhere to stay. Was thinking of camping. Actually anything would work, my son and I could stay in one bedroom if anyone has a cabin to share. Any suggestions?

 

keep your eyes on the accomodations thread in the Dragon forum...and start making friends who already have cabins

 

I'm planning to leave Thursday morning to drive down and come back on Sunday. So, in addition to lodging, it would also be nice to find a caravan to join
