MOTD # not so good
okay, I've still got some total noob questions after reading up on MOTD and looking over the event planner and registration details....
Just how much of the experience is about the 'official' drives and events? I didn't see any official runs/drives that are just about cruising the dragon specifically. Do people mainly try and conquer the dragon on their own time or maybe in unofficial small group runs?
I know DCMM is hosting the farewell dinner but are there any other group events or runs planned?
Just trying to get an idea of what to expect and how I should plan my time if I can manage to get the time off of work to go!

There will be other drives...I think that list will be posted soon. If you have questions about those, read this thread:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=129640
The Dragon itself is not meant fro group drives..and you' ll see why if you go, except perhaps the parade which is slow, and the midnight run.
The gist of the event is you can do as much or as little as you want. You can either go on group drives everyday or just hang out at Fontana and people/car watch. That's what I usually do, tho this year, I'll be a bit busier with doing info table stuff.
There's no required anything, tho if you pay for a hosted meal, I expect you'd want to show up for that..

thanks for the info! and yep, I've already perused that thread and asked more questions.
I actually just spoke to Carlos at Solar Solutions to arrange for my tint on thursday (yay!) and he asked if I was going to motd this year and mentioned how much fun it was even for a non-mini driver.
I'm getting excited already! If work and class schedules don't conflict looks like I may just make it down!

...for however many days you decide to go for. Even if you never leave Fontana, you'll still be having a good time.
