[Sun, June 1st @ 10:00am] DCMM Summer Kickoff Run & Picnic
FYI, a couple of weeks ago I changed the start point of the run. As Chris mentioned above, we're starting off at the MD Soccer Complex off 118 in Germantown. Maps and directions can be found in the opening post near the bottom.
Also, we have the picnic pavilion rented for the whole day. If anyone wants so show up early and start the party, feel free to do so. I know of several members that will be there as early as 11am.
Again, directions to the picnic site can be found in post #1 with the maps near the bottom.

oh i'm definitely bringing her to the park...i just didnt know if bringing her along on a run was the best idea
all i can picture is my 90lbs weimy rolling around trying to steady herself in the back seat on turns

I am really looking forward to this as there was a chance I wasn't able to attend, due to a death in my husband's family. But all is well, so I can make it.
I'm still debating about bringing our dog...
I'm bringing my little poodle, Deuce (Freddy, the dachshund, is staying at home due to behavioral issues)! He's going to love all the other doggies at the picnic. We won't be going on the run, but I would've brought him if we were going. I'm (me, personally!) giving him a haircut today so he'll be sassin' for all the DCMMers and fellow doggies

This sounds like its going to be a GREAT event! I'm most bummed that my private 747 is in the shop (putting a pulley on it) and I won't be there!!!
I actually checked out flights... but at almost a grand, its way too much.
Have fun everyone!

We will be there of course, but not "4" of us...it's really just like 2.5 (2 adults and a toddler
). Didn't want to inflate the numbers...
FYI. But we can't wait, looks like the weather is going to be GREAT!!
Hey, is there any food or anything that we can bring? Is dessert being catered too?

Montgomery County law is that all dogs have to be kept on a leash at all times AND you must clean up after your pet or risk a fine.
Plus, let's be courteous to the site since they're letting us use their facilities. We shouldn't be there long enough for people to complain.

How come? it's gonna be fun!
