It is a RS4 2 Nitro with a 2 speed tranny. I definitely need to get her out and play before the picnic. Sounds like it should be a heck of a good time with all them thar Mini's.

We have few menus on the list. Before we can finalize we have to do some tasting and tasting and tasting ....... and more tasting.

I have gained 5 lbs already since we have started.

The menu will come out pretty soon, I promise, it will be a good one.

Thats cool. I just got into the whole rc thing. I didn't want a gas car due to you have to really know what you are doing like tuning so i just got a electic one for drifting. Don't know how well it will do i a grip race but it drifts nice.

Some information about the park.

Black Hill Regional Park

Black Hill Regional Park is so vast and offers such a variety of outdoor activities, it's impossible to enjoy it all in a single visit. Families and groups make full use of covered picnic shelters near playgrounds, volleyball courts, a fitness course, paved and natural trails and spectacular views of Little Seneca Lake. The lake itself can be enjoyed from your private boat, our rental rowboats, canoes, or our pontoon boat, and our fishing pier. If you are interested in naturalist-led group and/or public nature programs on the Kingfisher pontoon boat (max. cap. 30 people, with up to 8 people using wheelchairs), please call 301-916-0220 for information and reservations. Also check the Black Hill Nature Programs listings in the quarterly Montgomery County Recreation and Parks Guide, available at all Parks facilities.
For those who love the solitude of the forest, miles of natural-surface trails can be explored by feet, horseback or mountain bike. Our nature programs and interpretive tours will enhance your understanding and appreciation of the natural bounty that exists within the park.

Please find more information about the park:

Some information about Sugarloaf Mountain.

Sugarloaf Mountain is a 1,282ft (391m) monadnock mountain in Dickerson, Maryland, near the town of Frederick. The closest town is Barnesville, Maryland, located nearly at the foot of the mountain inside Montgomery County, Maryland. The relatively low mountain is approximately 800 feet (244 m) taller than the surrounding farmland. The mountain and immediate environs are owned by Stronghold Incorporated, who maintain a trail system and other tourist facilities through a trust fund set up by Gordon Strong in 1947.

History

During the Maryland Campaign of the American Civil War in 1862, Union forces occupying the summit, which was being used as an observation and signal station, first spotted the Army of Northern Virginia on September 5 as it crossed the Potomac River into Maryland. The following morning as the small Union force on the mountain began to retreat in the face of the oncoming Confederate army, they ran into the unsuspecting 1st North Carolina Infantry and a small skirmish ensued. The Union force was able to escape but was later caught by Confederate cavalry at Urbana.
In the early 1900s Chicago businessman Gordon Strong bought substantial land holdings on the mountain. In 1925 Frank Lloyd Wright, on commission from Strong, proposed an automobile objective development for the top of the mountain.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt, briefly considered using Sugarloaf as his presidential retreat, but was persuaded by Gordon Strong to choose the nearby Shang-Ra-La site on the Catoctin Mountain, which today is known as Camp David.

Sounds like fun.

Should we pre-arrange anything for the RCs? cones or etc.?

A little more Sugarloaf history: open containers were legal 25 years ago. Ask me how I know this.

We can small soccer cones or water bottles. Anything small and light so i the cars hit them it won't hurt the cars.

I will see if we could get some small cones before hand. I will need someone with the knowledge of RC to arrange the cone though.

Will something like this (soccer cone) work ?

I'll show you all my Electric Blue Ballet! My two cars on one frequency. We got a big kick out of it at Chrsitmas

I *may* bring the pups. Guinness would LOVE the room to run, and I would bring his "leash" (a ball!)
