Nice triple seven shot and you even got Ms Brahams to cooperate

I was thinking, if there is enough interest, I can get us a personal tour of the museum, might be fun ?

Great shot, guys! You should submit that photo to the "Citizen Watch" section of CounterfeitMINI.

http://www.counterfeitmini.com/citizen_watch.php

Bev and I are planning to get a photo of our MINI next to one of those white topped school busses.

Mike, would love to tour the museum with you guys. Anyone else interested?

Glenn

Thanks for all the nice comments ! My two favourite things... my Mini and aircraft !

Looks like Mike needs to plan a run from wherever to the museum ! ARE there any back roads to the museum ?

I've been meaning to visit the museum.

A personal tour is just the incentive I need.

Do the airport's runways count as back roads?

Air & Space visit

Hi everyone. Saw the chatter & great photo. So happens that I am a Docent at the Udvar-Hazy Center. ( I was just out there this AM) I am usually there giving tours on Fridays but if some of you want to go & can give me some possible dates, I can give you a tour.

WAY COOL FLYGRYL1 !!! We would really appreciate it and we would promise to behave .... right guys ? RIGHT GUYS (looking at Mike ) ?

Hey Chris, I heard where if we're REALLY nice, they sometimes let people get on the Concord at the museum...at least that's what a "contact" that I had at the museum said a while back.

UHC Mini Visit

Sorry to burst your bubble guys but no one and I mean no one touches the artifacts. Last friday, the pilot whose name is painted on our F-14 Tomcat came in for the first time to see it. I was able to take him behind the barrier - a rare treat, but even he couldn't touch. The restoration facility is still up in MD although no tours are given there for the public, so there is not much "behind the scenes" stuff. Will you be content with just looking and some neat stories?

That's cool, I was going to get my buddy Gary Heath to take us around on a Saturday, maybe we could do two groups ?

Driven by the fact that they couldn't get Boyington out of the Corsair ?

That was the nice thing about my dad working for the Smithsonian... behind the scenes tours of all the museums including Air and Space and the Silver Hill facility.

That's too bad! Years ago they used to give tours there once a year. It was really neat. Saw them working on the Enola Gay there before Uzar opened and it moved.
