It's our first meet at our NEW shop!

For those of you who didn't know, we moved. (That's why I've been so...not on here. ) The new shop is cool! Lots of room inside, great big showroom, very high ceilings. And it's all ours!



We'll be having one of our world-famous open house events on Saturday, February 16, 10am to 4pm. We'll have the grille going -- bring food to eat and/or share. We'll have sale specials, door prizes to give away, special guests, maybe a cool new car or two.

We don't have a dyno here yet and probably won't by the date, so no dyno pulls that day. Sorry!

What also don't have a lot of is parking at our new place, so please be prepared to be somewhat flexible. We'll try to scope out where overflow parking will be as the date approaches.

It's going to be a time crunch, with the monthly DCMM breakfast in Towson, MD first (note that's also the launch day of the Clubman)... but I'll try to make it back over in the afternoon, if I can.

I'll try and make it; it would be my first meet with my newly acquired Mini. I know exactly where you guys are as well, my brother's mustang had some work done at FCC there. Great size for a shop.

I am fairly certain I have seen your car around the falls Church area of VA, especially near the Japanese restaurant in the city (near CVS)...

 

Maneki Neko ("waving cat") is the restaurant. Owner Takazato-san is my friend. He likes cars. I arrange meets there once in a while. Lemme know if you're interested!

C'ya tomorrow. Man, it's gonna be cold out there. A whole 34 degrees.

 

Yeah, not really glad about the forecast after the gorgeous day we had today. Def. still going though because i finally took a Saturday off work...and it's the first opportunity to go to a meet with my new Mini. Very excited to meet some other owners and learn some more about the car!

 

what time are you going? I'm meeting a guy in Fredneck about some wheels and might stop by after. There's not much room for cars, so it's more about hanging out with peeps

10:30 in Fredneck, so, 15 minutes there, 30 back to Leesburg, another 15 or so to Sterling. Noon is probably good.

 

First off a HUGE thanks to Dan and the rest of the crew at Mach V for a GREAT meet! I had a blast attending my first meet this year, and showing off my newly acquired MCS. Here's some pics i took;

I wish I could make it. If it's not on the same day as our other events (monthly breakfast meet and the run), I would have definitely join you all.

 

No problem, i had fun. Thought about attending the other event today, but didn't want to drive up, stay for a little bit--miss the run, and then hurry down to this meet.

 

I'm sorry I couldn't make it... the run & lunch just ran too late.

The next time Mach V has an event, we should coordinate the scheduling before the date it set, to ensure it doesn't conflict with an existing event (like a monthly breakfast, or the annual meeting (I think last year that actually happened! ).
