You will love the run. I count a total of 1,936 turns.

The Snow Tubing & Twisties is on Sunday, it should fit you schedule just fine. I hope.

Chris may be exaggerating just a little but the curvy and hilly sections of road definitely outnumbered the straight, flat parts.

There are 318 turns along 11 miles at the Dragon. We did almost 70 miles yesterday, "1,936 turns" is not that far from reality.

I think I may have to proof that I'm right, by trying the route again one more time.

How about Sunday, February 24th?

Juuussttt kidding, Chris! Hopefully we'll all be snow tubing that day.

Are you going to be able to attend next month's MoT breakfast, Bill? That seems to be the next best open date.

I won't compare the Dragon turns to the Sunday turns. The run had a variety of turns and the ups and downs (LOVE them !!) plus flat parts..
If we do it again let's start a little earlier and have groups of 10-12 MINIs

I (sneeze) might have (cough) to call (sniffle) in sick that day.

Re-running the route that day doesn't seem feasible though because I was hoping to do a new one that started from MoT.

How many stinkin' routes do you have, Bill?!

I may become jealous because I only have a handful of good roads to choose from but you seem to have an endless supply great roads. Not only do we not have twisty rustic backroads with bridges....we don't have BRIDGES! (inside joke in case any of you all missed when Bev and I took our MINI through a stream a month ago)

As far as re-running this last route, why don't we just do something spontaneous within the next month or two. If we see a nice weekend coming up and nothing else is going on then lets bring this up again. Or maybe lets do a spring run when the leaves come in....we'll leave it up to you.

Can't wait until the next MoT meeting so we can try yet another new route.

Only one run route, there are so many curves and hills along with jinking back and forth that you never realize you have only been going in a 2 mile circle

I swear, I had no idea where I was at ! But who cares ? Its too much fun !

I'd love to go back to the "Q" place, that was quite tasty !

Yes, I have them up in my Kodak Gallery. Can you PM me your email address? I can't post a link to the account - you'd need my password.

I was shocked how many verts were on the run, was that typical of a DCMM run?

I have a tendency to doze off any time that Laura's driving, so reverse would be fine with me! This was a really fun run.

Hey everybody!

Sorry to dredge up an old thread.

Since today was the last chance that I'd have to drive Otto until my knee heals, we spent some quality time together re-running the route.

Looks like the county has started resurfacing some of the rough sections of road.

Also, I had a couple of "I wonder where this road goes" episodes and found a couple of interesting (twisty) new sections that could be added to a re-run.

Checking the calendar, it looks as though we have a pretty busy season.

Was wondering if anyone would be interested in an April 27th redo. Nothing's scheduled for that day yet and it could be good pracice for the Summit Point HPDE the next day.

Hey Bill-

Good luck with the operation

I know Otto Moe Beall will be missing your tender loving care while you recuperate. Are you signed up for the HPDE at Summit Point next month? Hope to see you there!

Hi Ed,

I was kind of hesitant to sign up because I'm not sure what condition I'll be in. I'm gonna wait and see how the knee feels in a couple of weeks.

As for my tender, loving care, if you saw Otto's boot after driving on semi-wet roads all day, you might change your mind.
