[Sunday, January 13th @ 10am.] Cabin Fever Run & Brunch
Yeah, this was one of the best runs I've ever been on
! It was fun, fun, fun!!! Thank you, Bill (and everyone else!)...great job leading and all. What beautiful scenery and fun twisties all the way. Eric and I had a great day. Now, time to take a nap

Thanks Bill and everyone else involved with the planning and execution. I had a great time and the route was excellent. Looking forward to the next one.
Please continue to post pics, I'm p*ssed at myself for not bringing a camera.

We had a great time too! I'd love to do this run again in the spring when everything is green.
I have a ton of pictures of your car from behind.
I'm uploading them now so I'll send you the link when they're done.

We could even run it backwards. We could start with brunch at Mountain Branch and end up going grocery shopping at Wegman's. I know some twisties in the produce section.
Tom, great pics and I'm sorry for forgetting to thank you for taking care of accounts payable.
Hey fellow MINI lovers, in the words of my favorite clay friends (Wallace and Gromit)
What a Grand Day out !
My apologies if I was a bit quiet and possibly distant, I was/am feeling really lousy from this cold......driving in the back was tough, one second I was like yeah this is great
the other was oh nooooo, not more shifting and bouncing around
It was without doubt, waaaaaaayyyyy better than laying on the sofa watching some crappy re-run !
As for the Spitfire fund.........keep the donations flowing !
MINIPOL, check out my 1/5 scale Mustang MkIII from 315 Squadron (Polish) RAF Pilot- Flight Sergeant Idrian. This model was originally a "D" model mustang with the bubble canopy. I did the conversion to the earlier "B/C" model. I was always fascinated with the Checks, Poles and such joining up with the Brits to fight the Jerries.

Cheers,
Mike

Thank you everyone...
I had a blast today and I believe everyone did.
It was so perfect this morning, no rain, no snow, sunny and breezy. What else could we ask for.
First of all, thanks to Bill (wolf617) for organizing this awesome event/run. I had such a great time. Great route, good food (I really like the place
), well organize indeed.
Secondly, thanks to Marina for arranging a game/quiz for us to have fun during lunch and also thanks for contacting Tate for presents. (I didn't win anything
) , Tate is still cool, after all.
Third, thanks everyone who join the event today. You all are awesome.
Also thanks for all the pictures look great indeed.
Actually, we can add some of the pictures into the flickr page, http://flickr.com/groups/dcmm/
And last, thanks MrMellowYellow for not showing up
, each of us owe you 35 cents.
(jk, Actually, we all do wish that you would be able to join us today.)
And for all new member, you all are great. Thank you for coming and looking forward to see you again again soon.
I haven't got much chance to take pictures at all.
My hands were occupied by steering wheel, radio, cell phone, gear ****, water bottle, and camera.
Below are some of the pictures ....... enjoy

For the record: Half of the MINIs that joint the run were CONVERTIBLE, and half of the convertible were RED.

Mike !!! I do for some strange reason find the checkerboard on the cowling quite alluring !! I'm sure that Pyskacz (Pawel) would approve as well !

Thank you Mr. Mellow Yellow for staying home. The weather was beautiful.
Your check for 35 cents is in the mail.
Seriously, sorry that you and Bev and Ed had to miss the run.
Maybe we can get together some weekend and I'll take ya'll through it.

Thanks guys. I'm glad to contribute any way I can to the club.
What stinks is that Bev cancelled her trip on Friday and we WERE actually planning on making a surprise appearance Sunday morning! I didn't want to announce this in the forum lest Mother Nature be reading the postings and decide to make it snow again.
But as it turns out, Bev was sick in bed all day Saturday which meant that she had to do her work on Sunday which meant missing the run.
And to prove just how mischievous Barbarella is....I actually had my fob in my hand at 8:20 Sunday morning, ready to sneak out of the house and join you all while Bev was still asleep! I would never ever think of doing this otherwise, but Barbie has some type of power over me. Being MINI owners, I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.
In the end, Bev woke up and caught me and I didn't have the heart to attend without her.
Thanks for posting all the great photos! It helps me feel a part of the day even though I wasn't there physically.
And to all the new members that I didn't meet...I hope I'll see you all real soon. The members you met are wonderful people and we've been having a blast at these events for the four months I've been a member. So please keep coming out and I'll meet you all soon!
Lastly, Bill....I'm soooo taking you up on your offer for a private tour.
Thanks for offering and thanks again for putting this together. Glenn
My last post was rushed as the "Wire" was coming on and didn't want to miss it.
To continue:
Thanks Bill for the route, I cannot see ever getting tired of that one. Driving on the run is nice because I can forget about where I'm going and concentrate on good smooth driving
I really have no clue where we were, just one corner to the next !
Chris:
This is a really nice shot ! Excellent quick thinking !

Team MellowYellow.......my 35 cents is in the post !
Marina- Thanks for the quiz, I didn't fair well but I knew the color of the GP !
Cheers,
Mike

We had a great time on the run!!
Thanks for putting the run together Bill. I have some more pictures to add to the post and will do so tonight.
Sorry we had to cut out early and miss the results of the quiz. Anyone going to post the answers?

So sorry I missed the run!
Sure wish I could have been there
Great pictures, lots of MINIs, and I know the roads were fun. Bill, I'll take you up on the offer for a repeat run, and soon I hope. Maybe we can get the others who missed it to join, too!

Btw, I'm up on the re-run.
Reverse course, may be?
Thanks for all the kind words everybody!
With roads like that around here, I think you can see why I bought a MINI.
Glenn, Bev and Ed, since you folks had the scheduling problems, I'll leave it up to ya'll to figure out a Sunday that works for the re-run.
